Chapter 11

I stare at Jose for a second before he speaks.

"Are you mad at me or something?" Jose asked as he bites his lip.

Instead of answering his question, I ask him one instead.

"Do you have anything to tell me?"

Jose thinks for a few minutes before shaking his head no.

"Do you have anything to tell me?" Jose asked.

I slowly nod my head.

"Then..." Jose states urging me to continue.

I look him in the eyes and he stares back at me.

"I'm breaking up with you." I state coldly.

Jose's face scrunches up and he blinks a few times.

"What do you mean you're breaking up with me?" Jose says with a smirk on his face. "Funny joke! Come on baby stop playin!"

I roll my eyes before turning around towards my door.

"Um, I'm not playing!"

I go to turn the handle, but Jose grabs my shoulder turning me around so that I'm facing him.

"Why?" Jose asked raising his voice a bit.

He clears his throat before taking a breathe, calming himself down.

"Have you been seeing Vanessa behind my back?"

Jose's shocked by my statement and he shakes his head no.

"Wh-what makes you think that?" He asked.

That right here is why I'm breaking up with you, I gave you a chance to speak the truth but instead you lied, I think to myself.

"I don't know, maybe her spam Instagram page told me," I pull out my phone and I type the password in it.

I go to the screenshot that LaMelo sent me and I turn my phone towards Jose.

"That's you, right?" I asked but Jose stays silent.

He opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out.

He can't think of what to say so he opens and closes his mouth again.

"I take your silence as a yes?"

"Daya, I can explain!" Jose's eyes are watery and he grabs my hand.

"Explain what?" I asked. "It's pretty clear that you're a dirty lying ass cheater!"

"Daya, that's an old picture!" Jose states while leaning on a nearby wall.

"Let me see your phone then."

Jose reaches into his pocket and slowly hands me his phone.

"Password?" I asked.
