[disclaimer: i know it's a bit early for their licenses yet but it's just easier for the story so just go with it. keep that in mind for the other chapters :)]

It was now sophomore year and if we are being honest, all four of them had had a glow up over the summer. Alex had gotten taller, Bobby now had a middle part with curtains, Luke had grown his hair out slightly so it was messy and wasn't as skinny as he was last year while Reggie had gotten his braces off.

Everyone knew the four by now. If one of them were somewhere, the other three wouldn't be too far away. They were inseparable.

Bobby had ditched his old friends and stayed with the others. He used to be embarrassed to be seen with them and pretended they weren't his friend but now, he couldn't leave them alone.

He found that the closer you got with Luke, the more touchy he got. That wouldn't be a problem if Bobby wasn't the complete opposite, which he was, but he didn't mind and Luke knew that.

Alex found it quite easy to be vulnerable around others and open up. Bobby tended to keep to himself and was definitely more of a listener, but he didn't mind at all.

Reggie was a bit . . . questionable, but had the personality of a puppy and was the most loveable dork you've ever met. Bobby found it hard to stay mad at him or even get mad at him in the first place. The boy was fragile and took everything literally so the guys had to be careful around him.

"What do you guys have first period?" asked Luke, the group checking their timetables.

"Physics." answered Bobby.
"Reg and I have English." said Alex.

"Wha- so I'm alone with Mr Burns? He hates me! I can't go there alone!" he harshly whispered.

"Dude, you'll know loads of people in your class, you aren't alone. I'm sure he won't give you detention every lesson. Stop being so dramatic." said Alex, rolling his eyes at his insane friend.

Luke let out a sigh. "Shit." he mumbled before the four split up to go to class.

After class, Luke was buzzing. He ran up to his locker who happened to be beside Bobby's and was clearly out of breath.

"Woah slow down. What happened? Did you get out of class without detention?" asked Bobby hopefully.

"Oh no after school today. I was writing in class and he asked me to stop and I said no." he replied.

There was a small moment of silence before Bobby made a quick 'and?' gesture.

"Oh yeah. We are starting a band. You can't say no because this is the best idea I've ever had and this doesn't happen often. Reggie already said yes so we just need to tell Alex." he blurted out before grabbing his friends arm and running to go find Alex.

"I had an idea!" Luke said, dragging Bobby behind him while going up to the blonde.

"Oh god." said Alex with a panicked look towards the taller boy. Bobby just returned very sympathetic eyes.

"We are starting a band. Reggie already said yes. We can all sing, you play drums, Bobby and I play guitar and Reggie plays bass. You can't say no because you know this is one of the best ideas I've ever had." said Luke, very out of breath by the end of his rant.

"No thank you. That would take time out of school and homework plus when and where would we rehearse or whatever?" asked Alex.

"Well I did not think that through." replied Luke sheepishly.

"We can practise at my parents garage. We can turn it into our little studio or whatever." Bobby offered.

"Why are you encouraging him?!" Alex protested.

"I'm not hating the idea. It could be a distraction plus we all love music. C'mon Alex."

After a few glances between the two boys who were silently begging him to agree, he finally did.

"Fine."

Since Bobby was the only one with his license at the time, he drove the four boys to his house. The other three were still 15.

"Hey mom. Is it ok if we all go to the garage?" greeted Bobby walking through the door.

"Hi boys. As long as you don't make a mess." she replied with a smile. "Also Charlotte is out there but she's been in there for a while so you have my permission to kick her out."

"Thank you." Bobby replied, stretching out the you. The group went out the the studio to find Charlotte sprawled across the couch that had just been put in there.

"Bob, why are your friends here?" whined the little sister. For a 15-year old, the girl could be feisty.

"Good to see you too, Char." Alex replied sarcastically.

"Off limits." Bobby joked. Alex had to stop himself from laughing too hard. It just seemed so ridiculous to him, yet he had no idea why. "Plus she could probably kick all of your asses right now."

"Ok one, he just said hello, and two she like 4ft tall." scoffed Reggie.

"Oh really?" she asked, getting up from her seat and waking towards the bassist. "You wanna go, Peters?" She was now right in front of him looking up straight into his eyes.

"I'm good." replied his face had gone from cocky to terrified. Luke stifled a laugh from beside them.

"Something funny, Patterson?" she asked, her head now facing him. "No ma'am." he replied, holding his hands up in surrender, still smirking at the whole situation.

She turned her gaze back to the bassist. Charlotte grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him down to his level.

"For the record, I'm 5,3." she said before letting go and walking off with a devilish smile.

As soon as she left the room, Alex and Luke burst out laughing. Bobby let out a playful scoff.

"She's a feisty one." said Luke to Bobby before patting Reggie on the shoulder and walking outside to get the instruments from the car.

"Try living with her." he replied before following Luke outside to help. Alex was still laughing his head off.

"That was terrifying."
"That was amazing!"
