★ ★ ★Alex had waited too long to say anything to Luke or Reggie. Bobby had tried to convince him to come out, but Alex had been too shy. Two months had passed since the incident and the only person who knew Alex was gay, was Bobby. They talked with Jackson for a bit about it but they never confirmed anything, and Alex and Jackson decided to just stay friends for now.
But today was the day. At lunch time, he would tell them. Alex was sitting in Biology, looking at the clock and silently begging the hand to stop moving forward. He felt like he was going to throw up.
The sound of the bell pierced through his ears. Shit. This was it. Alex slowly made his way to the cafeteria. Bobby and Reggie were already there. The four of them sat in the exact same spot everyday. The table was practically dedicated to the band.
He sat down at the table and Bobby could see the visible tension in his face. He looked terrified.
"You ok Alex?" asked Reggie. The blonde nodded and put on a not-very-convincing smile. Reggie just decided to let it go.
All he had to do was wait for Luke. What if they didn't accept him? What if they thought it was disgusting? What would they think of him? Alex kept a close eye on the entrance to the cafeteria at all times, silently begging Luke to never come in through those doors.
The only few people who walked through were two boys that he didn't recognise and Chloe. He didn't even have time to realise how guilty she looked when Luke walked in behind her.
The guitarist came and sat down at their table. Alex was praying for the ground to come and swallow him up. He knew that Bobby would never let this go.
"Hey guys." said Luke. Reggie noticed how out of place everyone at the table seemed.
Alex looked like he was going to be sick, Luke looked like he was trying not to draw attention to himself while Bobby kept glancing between Alex and the other boys.
"Luke, why weren't you in History?" asked Reggie.
"Skipped." Luke shrugged. The bassist was beginning to get skeptical of everyone at the table.
"Alex," Bobby began. Alex looked up and discreetly shook his head. "has something to say. Don't you?"
"Uh . . ." said Alex.
"C'mon man, spit it out.' said Bobby.'Bobby please." Alex begged. The black haired boy just shook his head and raised an eyebrow for him to continue. "It's better if they know, trust me it will be fine."
"Ok . . . You guys don't have to support me but please just don't tell anyone." he asked. Luke and Reggie were more intrigued by now.
Bobby was not going to let this go. It's always better when they know. Plus he knew for a fact that both Luke and Reggie would accept him no matter what. They were more then just friends, they were brothers.
"I-,' Alex then cleared his throat and whispered. "I'm gay."
Luke and Reggie both looked up from what they were doing.
Please. Please. Please. Alex thought. It was hard to tell what they were thinking from the expressions.
"Dude!" Reggie yelled.
"Oh my god!" Luke yelled.
They both had wide grins across their faces."Will you two keep your voice down." Bobby whispered.
"Bro that's huge! Congrats!" Luke said, playfully punching him in the arm with a genuine grin on his face.
