3rd Person POV
Chaeyoung woke up with her phone's ringtone.
"What on earth." She groaned.
"Hello?" She answered the call, half-asleep.
"Oh! My daughter!"
Chaeyoung became more frustrated when she heard his father's drunken voice.
"Why are you calling me so early in the morning?"
"I just missed my daughter."
"I'll be back tomorrow anyways." She rolled her eyes.
"Chaeyoung-ah. My business partner's daughter came earlier."
"What do I have to do with that?"
"It's just..." Her father paused.
Chaeyoung just became more irritated, "What are you trying to--"
"He was a really supportive dad to her daughter." Her dad's voice weakened.
"I'm sorry, Chaeyoung-ah. I should've been like him."
"That's a first."
"Mina."
"W-what's with Mina?"
"Do you wanna know something?"
Chaeyoung became nervous, "what is it? Why are you mentioning her all of a sudden?"
"She broke up with you before we came to States, right?"
[9 years ago...]
Mina's POV
"Hey, it's fine. Everything will be alright. Just relax." Jeongyeon tapped my shoulder.
"How can I relax knowing I'm the reason why she ended up like that?!" I shouted in frustration, tears streaming down my face.
"It's not your fault, okay? It's no one's fault. It's just... fate." Dahyun said.
"This wouldn't have happened if I didn't planned this." Jihyo lightly slammed her head on the wall.
"Calm down, everyone. Chaeyoung will be alright." Sana said.
We're anxiously waiting outside the emergency room as the doctors and nurses are treating her. This is all my fault. It really is! If I haven't lied to her, she wouldn't have been in this situation.
"Excuse me." A doctor approached.
I immediately stood up and talked to the doctor.
"D-doctor, how is she?"
"She's fine, she just need to take a rest. Calm down, miss. Nothing bad will happen to her." The doctor gave an assuring smile.
"Thank you, thank you." I sighed.
I weakly sat down on the chair as I heard the good news. Good thing she's fine. If something worse happened to her, I don't know what should I do anymore.
"It's alright, Mina. Everything will be alright." Nayeon hugged me.
"M-Mr. Son." Jeongyeon immediately stood up as a tall man approached.
"Jeongyeon-ah, can I talk to you for a bit?"
"Y-yes." The man with an incredibly dark aura laid his eyes on me before he left with Jeongyeon.
"Was that Chaeyoung's father?" I asked.
"Yeah." Tzuyu answered.
"I'm going to see Chaeyoung." I stood up and entered her room.
