Malfoy's Idiot

Chapter 4

Professor Filtch led me away from the other students after we got off the train. He led me to the great hall after the first years had been introduced. I was waiting patiently outside the great hall doors waiting to be called inside.

The doors began to open and led to a gigantic room. There were 4 tables -one for each house- which took up the whole length of the room as they were filled with students. At the end of the room was another long length table which was occupied by the staff. The room was filled with lit candles and torches as the ceiling was obviously enchanted to show the night sky filled with stars. 

"Ladies and gentleman we have a new student joining us in her 3rd year," the woman at the end of the hall spoke. She was wearing a royal purple robe with a pointy green hat and glasses. "Miss Malia Maise Snape," She announced. 

The students immediately began making various sounds as I made my way into the hall. Such as, clapping, shouting, yelling, whistling, and cheering. Although, the loudest cheers were coming from my left. 

I looked over to see multiple students in green and black uniforms cheering out my name. I assumed they were the Slytherins as I noticed Draco, Pansy, Daphne, Blaise, and Theo standing up in their seats cheering me on. I gave them a wink before walking further down the room until I reached the steps which led up to a chair.

"Sit dear," the woman spoke. I stepped up and took a seat on the chair before she took the hat in her hand and walked over to me. The hat was a shade of dark brown and very pointy, although, it obviously needed to be cleaned. I prayed for my hair as she placed the hat on my head.

"HMMMM," the hat spoke. 

I immediately jumped a little in my chair before turning my head to the staff table. I noticed my father sitting near the end and gave him a pleading look. He just gave me a small nod in reassurance. 

"INTERESTING...THE GENES SURELY MAKE THIS A HARD DECISION. I SEE YOUR LOYALTY AND STRENGTH TAKE A HUGE TOLL ON THIS. IT'S DEFINITE YOU CARE ABOUT OTHERS MORE THAN YOURSELF. IT IS ALSO OBVIOUS THAT YOU EXCEL IN MULTIPLE MORE AREAS THAN OTHERS. YOUR MIND IS STRONG AS IS YOUR STUBBORNNESS." 

what the hell is happening? 

"LET'S GO WITH..........SLYTHERIN!" the hat yelled out.

I let out a shaky breath in relief as I felt my body relax. I had no idea what the hat was talking about but at least it was smart enough to put me in Slytherin. 

I stood out of the chair and handed the hat back to the lady. I gave Father a huge smile, and he returned the small lift of his lips and a nod. I walked to the Slytherin table towards my friends. 

As I walked by, all the Slytherins were cheering me on and sticking their hands out for high fives and fist bumps in support. I laughed as I took an empty seat between Theo and Blaise. Draco sat across from me sitting in between Pansy and Daphne.

"Welcome to the snakes," Theo and Blaise said in unison putting their arms around me while both shook my hand. 

"As if she belonged to any of the others," Draco scoffed and rolled his eyes before reaching out his hand to me in a fist bump. I returned it before raising a brow at him.

"Yeah because that's obviously your decision to make," I laughed at him. He gave me a wink as I rolled my eyes.

"WE'RE SHARING A DORM!" Pansy screamed

"Merlin save us," Daphne sighed. 

"I call this bed!" Pansy and Daphne both jumped towards the two beds to the left which left me with the bed next to the window which I didn't mind. I walked over to the window to look at the view.
