Chapter 7

It was the next morning and I was heading to 1st period. I didn't think about what happened yesterday since my main priority was getting to class on time after we all slept in. I didn't talk to anyone today except for Pansy and Daphne since I wasn't in the mood to from exhaustion.

I got to fathers class right on time and walked to my usual seat at the front. I sat in my seat and watched as Father walked out of his office and to the front of the class to start the lesson.

"Turn to page one hundred EIGHT," Father demanded of the class. As everyone opened up their textbooks I heard the door burst open. All our eyes turned to the back to see Draco walking in late to class as usual. "Ah, Mr. Malfoy you have decided to join us how kind of you," Father spoke sarcastically with a straight face.

"Sorry professor," He smirked in amusement.

"5 points from Slytherin," Father declared. I rolled my eyes in annoyance at Draco's need to be fashionably late to everything. I watched as he walked over to me and took the empty seat next to me.

"Sir that's so unfair. When Ron and I were late last class you took 20 points from each of us," Harry fought back.

"Detention Mr. Potter for talking when clearly NOT spoken to. Now, turn to page 308 and no more distractions," Father spoke. I looked at Harry and watched him scoff and roll his eyes.

Although Harry wasn't lying, Father did go easy on the Slytherins. It wasn't fair and it was definitely him picking sides.

I decided to make things interesting...

Standing up I looked directly at Harry sitting across the room. "You know Harry I think you're absolutely right,"

That sentence brought all eyes on me.

"Malia I suggest you sit down," Father glared at me.

"You know professor I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in you," murmurs and laughs were being exchanged around the room.

"I mean with you being so lenient on the Slytherins it makes this class a very low priority on our lists. But with you being so strict with the Gryffindors it actually gives you their full attention. Wouldn't that cause an advantage for them rather than us? Because I know that's certainly not your intention."

"Slytherins don't need advantages to win. So I hardly see how that would be of difference," Father looked at me with a hard-to-read expression.

"Want to test that theory?" I smirked. Feeling a tug on my hand I looked down to see Draco in fury over what he would probably call a "pointless mess".

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Draco whispered.

"Just playing," I shrugged with an innocent expression.

"And how do you suggest we do that?" Father interrupted.

"A challenge to a contest in the forbidden forest. We face against different challenges to test our skills from this class."

(AN: btw this is Defense Against the Dark Arts)

Father nodded in acceptance.

"One more thing," I smiled.

"I'm playing for the Gryffindors."
