I woke up before Pansy and Daph to go to detention with Professor Lupin. After getting ready I headed downstairs to the common room. I began to hear laughter as I turned the corner to see Blaise, Theo, and Draco sitting by the couches.
Ignore. Just ignore him, Lia.
I walked down the steps from the dorm with my chin up and shoulders high. I wouldn't let Draco think he got to me. I had almost made my way to the door before Theo called out to me.
"Morning your highness," he called out. He laid on the couch with his feet propped up on Blaise's lap as Draco sat at the chair in the corner looking disinterested.
"Morning Theo! Morning Blaise!" I put on my best smile for them. They gave each other a glance before turning to look at Draco. I could feel him staring at me but I wasn't going to return the glance.
"Why are you awake so early?" Blaise turned his head to face me.
"Detention with Lupin. You?" I asked.
"Well the captain of the quidditch team is letting us control the game strategies for this season," Theo jerked his head towards Draco. "So we were just having a meeting about that,"
"MERLIN! It's not my fault your daddy issues gave you a control obsession!" I spat.
"Wow that's new," I responded flatly. "Well, I trust you 2 to make the right decisions," I responded.
"NOT MY FAULT MOMMY GAVE YOU TRUST ISSUES!" He yelled in my face.
"Wow that's new," Draco replied mocking my tone. He held his gaze on the fireplace refusing to look at me. Blaise and Theo caught back a laugh by awkwardly coughing. I was pretty sure the group had heard my whole fight with Draco last night, and if not he probably filled them in.
Before I had the chance to respond, Draco stood out of his seat and walked straight out of the common room.
"Shit, you guys messed up!" Theo chuckled. Blaise smacked him on the head in return.
"Don't worry, he'll come around," Blaise reassured me.
"Well none of this would've happened if he didn't act so dramatic last night," I rolled my eyes and walked over to take a seat on the other couch.
"This isn't just about last night," Blaise sighed.
"Then what?" I began to scratch my bottom lip in irritation.
"Listen, a lot of crappy things happen at this school okay? And after what happened on the train he's just been on edge. In fact, we all have. Sirius Black is out of prison now and we all need to stick together. We watch each other's backs, so accept that" Blaise got out of his seat to walk over to me.
"What? So you think I'm too weak to take care of myself?" I looked up at him.
"Yes," Theo smirked up at me laying down on the couch. I grabbed the pillow from my couch and threw it at his head as he failed to dodge it. Blaise gave Theo a harsh glare before turning back to me.
"No, but we just want you to trust us because we care about you, and even if it doesn't seem like it so does Draco," Blaise made a reassuring face before heading back upstairs to the dormitories.
"He has a weird way of showing it," I mumbled.

It had been an hour as Draco and I organized and cleaned Professor Lupin's office. Professor Lupin and I made small talk, although Draco stayed quiet the whole time. After sorting through the textbooks I walked across the room to clean down the chalkboard.
