"Merlin, what is that?" Pansy screeched from her bed. My senses became more distinct as I took in my surroundings. The sun was just rising above the horizon which caused a soft light to shine into the room. My eyelids felt heavy adjusting this early morning.
"YOU IDIOT!" We heard a male voice screaming from downstairs in the common room. I sat up in bed and turned to Daph and Pansy.
"Who the hell is yelling this early in the morning?" I groaned. Daph got up from her bed as she opened our door to inspect what was going on outside. I heard male voices talking downstairs. There wasn't any screaming but it definitely wasn't a peaceful conversation.
"It's just the boys," She rolled her eyes. "I'm not worried." Just as she was about to close the door we heard another scream.
"WE'RE GONNA FUCKING DIE!" The 3 of us gave each other a glance as our faces filled with fear. I jumped out of bed and the three of us ran out of the room. I sprinted down the stairs as the screams got worse.
In the middle of the common room were Draco, Blaise, and Theo yelling at each other, as they were all dressed in their quidditch uniforms.
"It's a risk on all of us!" Blaise yelled at Draco.
"Shut it, Blaise, I know what I'm doing," Draco sighed at him.
"Listen you may make it out fine but others won't," Blaise glanced at Theo while speaking. Theo stood against the couch with his arms crossed.
"Bloody hell! Don't bring me into this," Theo replied.
"What the fuck is happening?" I walked over to the boys alongside Pansy and Daph.
"If you wanted our attention there are better ways than screaming this early in the morning," Pansy wrapped her arm around Theo as she jumped onto the back of the couch beside him.
"Ask these idiots," Theo cocked his head towards Blaise and Draco.
"There's a storm coming out today," Blaise looked at Draco. "And the fucking psycho won't cancel the quidditch match today because of his stupid pride."
Pansy, Daphne, and I all stayed silent and gave each other a look as the boys waited for our response.
Daphne was the first to break the silence as she walked up to Blaise and Draco. She grabbed their ears and twisted them while bringing their heads down to meet her eye level. They groaned in pain as Daph looked at them with a harsh glare.
"Stop being pussys and figure your shit out, because the next time you guys make me wake up this early and ruin my sleep schedule I will feed you to the dementors!" She yelled at them. As she let the 2 of them go they stumbled back grabbing their ears.
"You little bitch Greengrass!" Draco yelled at her as Daph just looked at him with anger.
"Don't talk to her like that you little shit!" I yelled back at Draco. "It's 5 am in the morning what the bloody hell did you expect her to do!"
I didn't know where my friendship with Draco stood right now. Neither of us apologized which I wasn't surprised about, but after what happened at Professor Lupin's I was just confused. Either way, I wasn't about to let anyone talk to Daph like that. Whether they were my friend or not.
"The fuck did you just call me?" Draco turned his gaze to me as he spoke in a deadly quiet tone.
"She called you a little shit," Pansy laughed out from behind me.
"Don't you dare start Parkinson!" Draco yelled.
"Mate chill out..." Blaise mumbled looking cautious.
"The fuck is up your ass today Draco?" Draco glared at me. "No, I'm being serious! What's your problem?" I felt my rage pick up as our eyes blazed into each other.
"YOU! YOU'RE MY FUCKING PROBLEM!" I stepped back a bit in shock by his reaction
"Chill the hell out mate," Theo stepped closer to us attempting to interrupt but failed.
"I CAN'T FUCKING DEAL WITH YOU ANYMORE. YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME! YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ANYONE!" Draco began to walk to me until I stood pinned up on the wall as he was a couple of feet away. "YOU JUST DO AS YOU PLEASE! AND GUESS WHO HAS TO SAVE YOUR ASS? ME! AND I'M SICK AND TIRED OF IT YOU STUBBORN BITCH!"
"Uh...I'm starting to think this is about something much bigger," Theo mumbled with wide eyes.
"Shh, let me watch," Pansy cupped her hand over his mouth, keeping him shut.
I reluctantly raised a brow at Draco. Who the hell does he think he is?
"You think you're any better?" I whispered as my breaths came back jagged. "ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION! Do you think that you are ANY better?"
Draco stood still as I began to close the distance between us.
"I was the one who defended YOUR ass everyday!" I pressed my finger into his chest looking up at him in rage.
"Everyone tried to warn me about you and your stupid temper and attitude, and I hate myself for wasting my time trying to prove them wrong" I punched him in the chest. Although, he didn't move a muscle as he looked down on me.
"You promised me that you'd be here for me. YOU PROMISED! But instead, you left me!" tears slowly began to pour out of my eyes.
"And I waited for you every day because you were ALL I had left! She left me Draco, and she's not coming back. And even though she couldn't have been there, you were my best friend and I was counting on you!" I yelled out. Draco's face softened for a split second as a tremble of guilt made way through his eyes.
"Now you're here treating me like shit because of it," I whispered feeling exasperated. The rest of the group stayed alert watching us from behind.
I moved a step back while wiping the tears off my face and regaining my composure. "Well you can go back to pretending that I don't exist, because I don't need you anymore."
