in just one brief moment
our eyes had met,
and a feeling settled
itself between us,
unseen.

time slowed,
the univserse halted
for one brief moment,
and we were
encapsulated.

dark eyes set in a
sculpted face,
tall stranger,
how was mine drawn
to them anyways?

i looked up,
caught the glint
in your eyes of
dark starlight,
and plummeted.

did you feel it too?
the weight of the world
when our eyes locked
in a brief eternity,
or was it just me?

i could have sworn
that i've seen you
before,
familiarity found
between our fleeting
moment.

i wonder,
as our gaze broke,
and we brushed past,
was i to you
a familiar stranger?

dark eyes, brown curls,
silver chain caught
between your black
shirt and collarbone.

a handsome stranger,
tall and mysterious,
i glanced back,
to look at you
one last time.

and met your
eyes of night
once more,
for the last time.
