I yawned and rubbed my eyes. Warm sunlight streamed through my window and onto my face. I sat up and grabbed for my phone. Two new texts from Emma and my free crossy road gift.
em: soooo
em: you and calum really hit it off
me: no we didnt
em: chemistry
I rolled my eyes and threw my phone down on my bed, changing into an oversized Nirvana t-shirt and black skinny jeans with a rip in the knee.
My phone buzzed.
em: mall in 10 minutes im coming be dressed xx
I groaned.
----
"You're the only girl I've ever met that hates the mall." Calum said to me as we walked behind Emma and Luke. They were holding hands, deep in conversation.
"Yeah well i like a few stores I guess." I replied, watching people walk by.
"So you hate bowling and the mall?"
"Pretty much." I let out a breathy laugh.
"Do you think they'd notice if we took a little walk?" He gestured to Em and Luke.
I shook my head. "Well then lets go." He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the right.
We walked passed multiple stores, his hand awkwardly connected to mine, until he pulled me into Starbucks.
"Seriously?" I laughed.
"Don't tell me you don't like Starbucks?!" He said, a smile on his face.
"I just don't normally have it. It seems very American whiteboy-ish." I said.
"Australian too." He replied walking up to the line leading to the counter. "Wanna have some fun?"
"Isn't that what this whole walk supposed to be about?"
"Okay so you see how they're asking for names?"
I looked up a few people. "Yeah."
"So when they ask for our names," he moved up a space in line. "Follow my lead."
"Okay." I gave him a weird look.
He smirked and moved up again with the line.
Once we got to the front the line Calum his hand down and looked up at the guy behind the counter. His name tag said his name was Liam. "Hey how about two vanilla bean fraps for me and my kitten over here." He put his arm around my waist and pulled my into him.
I giggled and rested my head on his shoulder. For the first time I realized how attractive he actually was. He had deep cheekbones, dreamy brown eyes and strong biceps.
"Um okay?" The boy said eyeing Calum and I. "Names?"
"Daddy and Kitten." He said and I had to suppress a laugh.
The boy behind the counter looked horrified but wrote it down on the cups anyway. "It'll be up in a second."
Calum pulled me to the side to wait. "Nice." He said letting out a laugh.
"He look so mortified." I said.
Calum still had his arm around my waist. "Yeah. I should apologize but..." He trailed off.
I laughed as they called out our "names."
Calum went up, grabbed our drinks and handed me one. "Wanna go somewhere else?"
I nodded.
He walked and I fell into step next to him. "So tell me about yourself."
"Well I like music, bands mostly and oldies music. I like sleeping and eating and I hate science but like history." I told him.
"Gotcha." He nodded. "History."
I smiled. "And you?"
"Im into music too. I like bands. I play bass and guitar. I also play a little football or soccer here ya know." He smiled.
"Cool." We sat down on a bench near some stores.
"Yeah." He smiled at me.
"So do you have a daddy kink?" I asked biting the inside of my lip a little.
"No." He looked at his shoes.
I opened my mouth and laughed. "Oh my god you so do!"
"Maybe a little one. Nothing major." He blushed.
"Wow." I shook my head.
"Tons of people have them calm down loser." He shoved my shoulder.
"Mhm sure." I rolled my eyes at him.
He smiled at me and his hand brushed over mine. I blushed and bit my tongue.
"I-" I started.
"There you guys are!" We heard from behind us. We turned around and Emma and Luke were walking towards us.
"Have fun? We were worried about you." Luke said, kissing Emmas cheek.
"Yeah." Calum said.
Emma sat down next to me and gestured to my drink. I handed it to her and she took a sip.
"Wait, whos kitten?" She asked looking at the name on my cup.
I looked at Calum and bit back a laugh. "Nobody."
