Chapter 22: Council's Fall

Melissa P.O.V

"Alright I called all of you here as disaster prevention, I never call on the council but now it is the time to assemble" I announce and look at all of them with a deadpan stare.

A chuckle resounds throughout the office "You called the high council for what? Melissa you're no longer relevant to any problems going on in the supernatural world".

I stare at the witch known as Circe "Listen bitch, you're the ones not relevant in jack shit unless something like I'm about to reveal comes up! So listen"

She gasps at me and proceeds to tell me off but the vampire king named Lotus pipes in "What is the problem? Although we may not seem busy in your eyes we are still reigning over an entire supernatural realm"

I nod "Thank you! As you all have felt there have been some disruptions on certain realms, I'm afraid to tell you this but a lifelong enemy has remerged once again"

Oden the overseer of shifters coughs , due to his old age his raspy voice asks "Who might that be?"

"Eden has returned" they all gasps and I thought Oden was about to have a heartattack so I rush over to him but he just shoves me away while saying "I'm far from dying"

I continue regardless of the dramatics " He is building up a super powered army with the spell passed down from my mother"

Circe whimpers "No...we must handle this immediately! This is why we gave you the staff and the power to be immortal he was supposed to stay trapped!" her mood quickly changes to anger directed at me.

I scoff "The wand was stolen from me and you know that! I was supposed to be the keeper of that wand and Mara took it from me! I didn't think it was that big of a deal his prison should've been eternal no matter who had the wand"

I quickly grab a glass of water and drink it to clear my aching throat while Circe once again assaults my eardrums, "You were supposed to be the last or destroy the wand those were the options given to you. The child that possessed the wand was found by you yet you didn't take it from him? You were asking for this to happen again"

Oden claps his hands "Enough ladies, we will eliminate this problem now. Melissa you're still connected to him I'm sure give us a couple minutes and we will end this before it starts"

I shriek in joy "Excellent let's get going!" I shout , "Hold it! Don't you think you should take me?" a husky monotone voice asks.

My insides freeze when I hear that voice, "Hades, glad you could join us! Your underworld magic should be the finisher we need" Oden laughs

I give him a side eye "Yeah wonderful..." I groan , "The game plan is to finish this before it gets out of hand! Lets go break!" I cheer.

"Hold it! This is Eden we are talking about, we cannot take this lightly prepare your most vicious spells everyone this will not be easy" Oden instructs he grabs his robe and puts it on then opens a portal.

"This will lead us directly to the enemy, time to rustle his feathers! he yells and runs straight into the portal.

I nearly collapse from the amount of laughter I had to hold in from that statement he just made but I collect myself and run into the portal.

We land directly in front of Eden's throne which he now sits at with a startled look but it's easily replaced with a giant smirk "Greetings I-" he says

Circe cuts him off "Silence heathen! I call upon Medusa's Bone turn his body into stone!" she hisses as her eyes glow a green hue her arms outstretched shooting a blast of power directly at Eden

He dodges and blasts her back, once the blast hits her, her eyes go completely black and she falls to the ground. He laughs "A witches power is always delightful, especially when it's the Queen"

Oden and Hades combine their power "Reminiscence on your misdoings and rest for another eternity!" a blast of light and dark beams shoot out at Eden but he just blocks it like it was nothing.

His eyes glow ready to blast Oden and Hades but I intervene "Serpents Venom" a wave of my red magic hits him off his throne knocking him into a wall.

Hades summons his scythe and slams it straight into the ground, a black void opens below Eden the moans of the undead fill my eardrums, ghostly arms come out of the void to pin Eden in place.

Oden starts an incantation while I speak to Eden "You're done for Eden, you shouldn't have came back, you never win" I taunt.

"Oh babe you should know from being married to me, I always win" he smiles and my teeth clench so hard I could've sworn I heard a couple crack.

I growl "This time it won't be a prison just death, Executioner's Guillotine" I cast and a blade falls from the ceiling dropping directly towards him.

A blue blast knocks all of us back and stops Hades spell in the midst of our temporary blindness Hades is blasted.

Just like Circe his eyes go black and he falls to the ground, scythe falling to his side. Oden tries to dodge but get's hit aswell and I watch the color drain from his eyes.

"Leaves just you, again. All alone" Eden's voice echoes and tears start to blur my vision as I get angrier.

"Ahh!!!" I shout and send blasts everywhere, I blast at my feet to send me flying into the air "Big blow!" a gust of air clears the room of the dust and I finally can see Eden.

I ready myself for any attack he throws at me while he just sits there, "I'm sending this place into oblivion! Using the last of my magic! Heavens Stake!" I shout and a beam of light crashes through the building and onto Eden.

He yells loudly as the beam disintegrates his entire being , satisfied with my work I turn around to see him behind me instead.

"Fooled ya! You know you really should've just let me take the kid! Now he's lost his main support system just hope you die realizing you took part in the damnation of this world!" he laughs maniacally as I step back and fall straight onto my ass.

I wince as the pain from that and the exhaustion from all the magic I use takes over. Sorry kid I thought I was doing good by keeping you out of this, I was scared of what Eden might do to you just like he did my parents.

I hope you can stop this monster because I won't be there to help you....

"Goodbye my dearest wife" Is all I hear before the world goes black.
