Mom was home. And she was with that obnoxious cousin of mine, you know the one she loved more and didn't care that I knew? Lord, I can't wait until Dad's home... I tried to walk past the living room without my mom noticing.

"Artemis!"

Oops, fail. I turned, giving up on my sneaking away plan.

"Hey, Mom, hi, Angie," I said, with a small wave. Why did I have to pretend to care? The kid practically lives here, anyways.

"Artemis, your parents are getting divorced!" Angie cried happily. She was happy because that would mean dad would take me. Me? I was happy because hopefully I'd never see my mother's worthless ass again. Stay calm, act upset, I told myself.

"Wait, why?" I fake cried, totally entertaining my mom.

"Your father wants his princess, I want mine. Simple as that," she replied, pulling Angie into her arms. YES! DADDY WANTS ME! That's new for me, being wanted. Wait, who am I kidding? I have Justin and the crew, I'm wanted.

"Well, then, I'll go pack!" I said brightly. I wasn't acting anymore. I was happy. "When's Daddy coming to get me?" The door opened behind me.

"Right now," my dad said, the smile on his face nowhere near as big as mine.

"Daddy! You came!" I jumped into his open arms. He laughed and pulled me close. "How's Daddy's biker girl? Has Reina been treating you okay?" That last question was worried, as if he thought she'd abused me. And Hey, they're already on first name basis! Yes, no more fake affectionate nicknames! Just me and Dad, living the life!

"Yeah, Dad, I'm fine. Actually, I'm better than fine, I figured out the aerial flip off the six..." I gushed, telling my Daddy about my achievements.

"Really? The six is on MY level sweetheart, are you trying to beat Daddy out?" He asked with mock seriousness. We both cracked up.

"Anyway, you won't be moving out, I will. I'm going across the country with Angie and I promise, I will never even THINK about coming back," REINA said, pulling Angie out the door.

"Bye, REINA, I hope I never see you ever again!" I called. Justin was skateboarding in the turnaround circle where our houses are with the guys, so I just had to wave. Reina drove away, almost backing into Chaz and Christian. I war whooped, and Dad started to tickle me. We ended up face first in the grass, laughing and breathing hard. "Daddy, stop!" I choked out through my laughs.

"Daddy, stop!" he mimicked, making his voice about six times higher. He laughed, and I couldn't help but think how much I'd missed it these two years... "Come on, let's sing!" I froze as Dad started to sing something by Kesha. I couldn't hear what song it was, but I had to tell him.

"Daddy, I don't sing anymore," I whispered. He stopped.

"Baby, why not?"

"It's a long story, Dad," I sighed, not really anxious to tell my dad what he had missed in two years of my life.

"Does it have anything to do with that nice boy Derrick?"

"That not-so-nice exboyfriend of mine?Oh, yes, it's got everything to do with that vile, depressing, cheating little urchin..." I told him the whole story, start to finish.
