Artemis' POV
I was sitting on my roof on the last day of summer, hiding from my mom who had decided it was okay to tell me I was useless compared to my cousin. Justin came out onto his balcony, saw me, and jumped onto mine.
"Romeo, Romeo, where art thou, Romeo?" I called quietly, laughing silently at his devious grin.
"I'm on your balcony, where you should be, Juliet," he told me, picking a rose from the trellis that lay against the wall to make a ladder to my roof. I giggled as he threw it to me, chivalrously.
"Isnt the line something like "What light in yonder window breaks?" Am I not the sun in your eyes, Sir Justin?" He flipped his hair out of his brown eyes.
"There's no window, Jules," he pointed out. I burst out laughing. He looked at me confused.
"I highly... doubt... Romeo called... Juliet... Jules," I gasped out. He grinned and climbed up to sit beside me. He tucked the rose in my black braid, careful to pick off any thorns.
"Ow!" He cursed silently, shaking his hand.
"What did you do?" I asked, a giggle bubbling in my throat. He held his hand out to me.
"Kiss it, Mommy, Kiss it!" He said in this really high, childish voice. To his suprise, I actually did it. I pressed my lips to his finger, and after I healed him with the touch of my finger.
"All better, sweetie?" I asked in a sickly sweet voice.
"You know you didn't really have to, shawty," He told me.
"I know, I did it because I love you."
