Justin's POV

"I can't sing tonight, shawty," I croaked to Artemis. I had a really mean frog stuck in my throat and it seemed like it was taking up permanent residence... Not the point. "I'll still come, I'll play piano..." I offered. She was panicking, I could see it in her amazing eyes. "Dont freak out..."

"I can't sing! Not infront of everyone! Especially with him there, that'll just make things worse. I'm dropping," she said determinedly. She crossed her arms. I sighed, uncrossing them.

"You have to believe me, Artemis, nothing he ever told you was true. You are amazing. You're beautiful, you're talented, you're smart... Everything he told you you weren't. You are PERFECT." I told her in my frog-like voice, taking her hands and looking into her tearing eyes. She wiped off the droplet of water on her cheek.

"I'm far from perfect," she said with a teary smile, "but thank you, that's just what I needed to hear." I pulled her into my arms and kissed her hair. "Promise me you'll be up there with me?" I smiled.

"Cross my heart and hope to eat a fly," I said. She laughed at me. I don't know why...

LATER AT THE SHOW...

She was pacing, guitar strapped to her back, so that whenever she turned, she barely missed knocking them out. I stood infront of her and she almost ran me over. Our names were called and people started chanting "Bieber & girlfriend! Bieber & girlfriend!" She took a breath, and the second she felt the wood of the stage under her feet, she was completely free of all worry. She took a mic.

"How you guys doin' tonight?" She recieved a loud chorus of screams. "I'm Artemis, just so you're not all calling me Beiber's girlfriend all night." She was really good with a crowd... "I hope you don't mind, but Justin's sick tonight so I have to sing instead of him. Everyone, please keep him in your prayers," she asked them. I watched her get ready...

And she sang.

Like an angel. My mouth was wide open in shock, as was everyone's in the audience.

She was amazing.

She was my amazing angel.

And nothing could ruin this moment... Suddenly, I felt the pain leave my throat, and I looked up. "Yeah, God, I get the message," I whispered. I sang with her, in perfect harmony for the rest of the song.

And after that, everytime I listened to the recording, I swear I heard a choir of angels backing us up.

The applause was deafening. Artemis looked like she was gonna start crying again, so we took our bows and I got her a tissue. "You, were amazing, Juliet," I whispered in her ear.

"You were some miracle, too, my frog prince," she smiled. I smiled back at her.

"You're coming on tour with me."

"No way! This was already..." We argued like this on and off, throughout our entire lives. I would ask her to do something good for her, she'd refuse and so on. Strangely this changed years later when I asked her to marry me...
