Heart Strings
Chapter 13
Fear
Wukong looked around as MK and Tyla broke through the tree line. Pigsy was placed down gently on the ground near the fire so they could see his wounds better. There was a huge bump on his head. Luckily it seemed to be going down a lot since they left the cove. At least the tide hadn't came in
"Oh look...the fat slob has returned...and with the kid, don't you know Fox spirits are bad luck." Suna curled tighter into Tyla who looked down at her sister who was curled around all four cubs. Her long tail curled out wrapping around her sisters. Tyla's forehead bumped her sisters.
"You don't smell right." Tyla told Tang. "Thats what she said while on our way back." She told Tang.
"Who are you. What have you done to my Tang?" Pigsy sat up and padded over to the monk.
"Your Tang? Sounds a bit possessive don't you think fatty?" Her laugh kept cutting in and out as her own and Tangs.
"Fatty? You weren't that small yourself Lady Hell!" Hell looked up at the woman with dark hair in the shape of horns, and the bright red and golden dress. "You have control of my son...I don't care who you have control of. If could be Buddha himself, Give me my son back!" The wind began to pick up.
"Into the mountain!" Wukong knew that he couldn't protect all the monkeys from the winds that Princess Iron Fan created. Regardless of what anyone could have done they weren't fast enough to stop her from hitting Tang.
Tang cartwheeled through the air slamming into the wall. The chain around his neck snapped and the stone necklace hit the floor. Tangs body fell limp and cold.
Red Son stumbled and right into MK's arms. He wasn't under the spell for very long so he was able to stand up and look around.
"Mother?" He looked around at trees falling all around them. "Mother!" He called out. The winds stopped and the woman glared down at him.
"About time." She picked up the stone necklace and crushed it between her fingers. The green smoke disbursed between her hands.
"Are you just going to keep laying there?" She asked. She poked Macaques hip pulling the blade out. He chuckled and looked up at her from Wukongs arms.
"Oh come on, I was being held."
"Be that as it may...you were scaring the children." He turned to look at his son who was now within Tylas arms. "You're immortal. Act like it." She stomped out of the cave walking past Tang.
"Is he alive?" She asked. Pigsy ran his fingers over Tangs face.
"He's breathing, but it ain't strong. We'll need to get him home...and fast. He's low on energy.
"MK, keep leading them to flower fruit mountain. We'll take him home." Wukong said shoving Macaque. "Help him." He said before giving him a soft smile. The cloud formed around them and then they were gone.

A few days later
Suna watched from the window. Pigsy hadn't put Tang down. His soft hands running through the scholar's hair. Lightly talking softly to him. He wasn't much but it was what he could do for him. He hadn't woken up. Pigsy lifted the small teapot and placed the funnel into the monks mouth and let him drink slowly.
Tang coughed and let his head lull back to Pigsy's chest. Suna was afraid, she had seen someone possessed like this before. He didn't make it.
There was a soft tap at the door. Suna jumped up, Pigsy didn't take much notice till Suna opened the door. A young woman with long black braided hair. She saw Tang and looked down at Suna.
"He'll need clean water, can you go get some for us." Pigsy growled as she grew near.
She pulled out a small piece of metal and looked at Pigsy.
"I was sent by the Goddess of Mercy. I have been a student under her for sometime now." She told Pigsy, she held out the seal. Pigsy hadn't seen that seal in close to...well a lot longer then he knew.
Suna ran back over with a cup of water. The girl took the water and placed a few drops onto Tangs face. Speaking a sutra of healing. It took Tang a few moments before his eyes opened and he looked around.
"What...What happened?"
"You were possessed, Master Tripitaka. The woman nearly consumed all of your Chakra. Guanyin told me to come see if I could help you."
"Who?" Tang was split with very small sentence.
"Once upon a time, in the shadow of a high peak lay a village. Within this village lived a group of women. No men. Under this village lay a river...if you drink the water from this river you become pregnant. You and one other fell into this river...and you became pregnant. Wukong saw it fit to abort these children. The Goddess of Mercy saw fit to save us...after you reincarnated I took on the jobs you left behind." She told him. The shock on Tang's face was of confusion and almost happiness.
"So you're...you're Jade?"
"Yes, I am Jade Tang. The new Tripitaka that is destined to take the new scrolls west. As the ones you carried have begun to decay. It is why the Staff chose another. I knew it would be needed again."
