Chapter 23

Hold on

Tang woke up feeling light headed, he didn't mean to feel so drained. He had ate and drank water like he was supposed to. He couldn't understand why he still felt so...he figured maybe if he would go get something nice to drink he'd be alright. Just a bit of tea and straight back to bed. A bit of orange pec...he swooned and fell forward hitting the last few steps pretty hard. It hurt pretty badly too, he felt tiny hands along his side like they were searching. He opened his eyes, his glasses had a huge crack in them and they were lopsided. The tears running down Suna's face told him something was greatly wrong. He felt something warm going down the side of his head before everything went dark.

He opened his eyes in an unfamiliar room, he couldn't tell for a moment where he was, or where he had been. Only that he felt someone against his hip, and a hand in his.

"Are you sure he didn't just...jump?" Tang turned to look at the man in a blue suit and badge.

"He fell!" The tiny voice called. "He reached up, touched his forehead, wobbled, and he fell." Tang knew what he was assuming. Suicide wasn't uncommon in the least bit. He however wasn't that sort of person.

Tang felt the pillows of unconsciousness overtake him once more. He couldn't tell how long he was out, but when he opened his eyes again he was looking at one of the blue walls of the house. He felt Pigsy's protective arms around him. He looked down at his fingers locked with his. He still felt so dizzy, what was going on? He felt a cold hand against his forehead. A soft finger pressing against his crown. It felt like warm liquid entering his soul. Like he was being recharged. He looked up and into the eyes of Jade.

"He'll be alright, it's just that he's draining like a water siphon. My guess is he thought he was low on blood sugar. Thought something to eat or drink would help...and his soul tried to detach on the way down the stairs. I'll have to do this until his soul fully reattaches." She let go of his head and ran her fingers over a cloth.

"What...What's going on" Tang asked looking around at Pigsy who was rather amazed that he was awake at all.

"You've been out for a few hours Tang. You fell down the stairs. We took you to get stitches on your head, and well it would seem when that woman put that necklace on you it ripped some holes in your mind. A lot of your Chakra is draining out of you. She's going to use as much of her own as she can and I'll supplement." Pigsy told him, Tang looked dejected for a moment.

"What about MK and Red Sons wedding?" Tang asked sitting up. Pigsy took his hand.

"It's alright Tang, we'll still go, but you have to sit down. But the stitches will be in plain view." He tapped to the side of his head. It hurt like hell, he cringed and bit his lip. That hurt like he was being stung by a bee. Pigsy apologized but he patted the bed softly. Tang looked around to see Suna standing in the doorway. Her bottom lip poked out as if she were scared to approach.

"Suna...I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you like I did. Your face is what I saw when I opened my eyes. You were crying so hard." He pulled her to him.

"How is he?" He heard the familiar voice at the door. Tang looked up to see Wukong standing by the door. He was wearing something...unusual for him. Tuxedo's weren't normal for demon weddings. But something very close to their 'best' was what they wore. He was wearing red, and gold embroidered silks. It looked rather nice on him actually.

"I'm afraid he's weak. But he should be okay at least until tonight. I'll have to take him into a room and check his Chakra levels."

"But what about your journey?" Wukong asked.

"It's okay a week's delay at best. We'll be alright. It'll give MK and Red Son a moment's time together without the worries of the journey." Jade said Wukong smiled at her patting her shoulder.

"You really are his daughter. I remember a moment when he said the same thing to me." He said looking back in the room seeing the pair hugging Suna. Her tail wagged lightly.

"Alright Foxy cutie, let's get your dressed up! We have a wedding to get to and it's alright noon!" Tona held up a dress that she designed for her. Suna gasped seeing how pretty it was.

"I plan on putting out a lot of dresses like this. I love working with kids! They're so cute!" Tona giggled and snorted. She cleared her throat and blushed. Pigsy chuckled and put Suna down on the floor. She ran up and took Tona's hand. Tona peeked back into the room and pointed at Tang. "Take care of yourself Baba...okay. You had us worried." She hid it well, but she did look like she wanted to cry.

"Alright Tang, lets getcha dressed."
