delilah raced to the fountain with tommy, her on the longboard and him on his feet. the laughter of delilah and tommy filled the silence of the park as they entered the park. they left their phones in delilahs car, as tommys was being spammed. the pair sat on the fountains edge, doubling over from laughter.

the black haired female grabbed the two lollies from her pocket and tossed the bubblegum one to tommy. she unwrapped the blueberry one, popping it in her mouth. she shedded her flannel and tommy unwrapped his sweet. they sat in silence, enjoying the candy.

the familiar rain drops fell on delilahs face, causing tommy to laugh and she rolled her eyes. some fell on tommys laughing face, making delilah laugh and it started to pour. the sound of laughter increased as the two ran back to delilahs car.

tommy scrambled into the passenger side of the car and delilah quickly turned it on. he grabbed their phones and played delilahs spotify. everybody talks by the neon trees started to play and the duo sang along. the girl pulled out of park and towards a local mcdonalds. "milkshake?"

"milkshake," tommy confirmed. she orded and paid. tommys phone lit up, wilbur. he sighed and answered, knowing the older male wouldnt give up calling if he didnt answer. delilah shook the milkshake in front of his face and tommy placed his phone in the cupholder, putting wilbur on speaker.

"anyways tommy, will you get on tomorrow?"

"i dont know wilbur," he gave a lousy answer and sipped his shake. the soft pitter-putter of rain drops was heard from wilburs end.

"where exactly are you tommy?"

"uhh," tommy looked at delilah, who focused on road and smirked at him, leaving the situation to the blond. "out with a friend."

"do i know this friend?"

"... yes," he lied.

"you're lying tommy."

"no im not!"

"youre a terrible liar." delilah bit her lip, making sure her giggles were contained.

"hey, are you laughing?!" tommy asked her, who shook her head and sipped her milkshake.

"tommy," this wilbur fella sounded like tommys older brother but not blood related.

"wilbur," he hissed back and delilah looked at the road.

"okay boys, hate to interrupt but here ya go tommy," she pulled up to the familiar two story house. "see you later?"

he nodded and took the freaking out wilbur off of speaker. "stay safe lolly."

"i will bubblegum," she smiled and watched him go inside.
