tommy stopped hearing from delilah after she met his friends, thinking she finally ditched him because he was popular until he was streaming one day.

his mother interrupted the stream, handing tommy a letter with his nickname scribbled above the mailing address and he flipped it, seeing no return address, just a nickname. he happily set it down carefully so the stream wouldn't catch sight of his address and around half an hour later, he ended stream.

he grabbed the letter opener from his desk and opened it up, two photos and a piece of paper falling out of the envelope. he picked up the glossy photos, they were of the familiar black haired female that affectionately called him 'bubblegum.' one photo of delilah was her on a train and written on the back was a word. 'railways,' the simple word written in blue ink on the white paper. he set it on his desk and looked at the other one, delilah had a new sticker on her board. 'i got a tommyinnit sticker from amazon so you'll be able to come onto all of the adventures im going on.'

he shakily put down the photo and read the letter.

dear bubblegum,

sorry for the sudden disappearance. my aunt (who knew i had one?) contacted me about traveling the world, said she was some hot shot person or whatever. i hope to still send you letters and i still have my phone so shoot me a text! although, you know i prefer letters. continue talking to lex for me.

and about your big internet personality, i created a twitch.

tommy reread the letter over and over again, his best friend is living her dreams and that made him happy for her.
