delilah sat in front of her friends shop, waiting for tommy to show. a cupcake in it's container sat next to her, waiting to be eaten. she nibbled on her own vanilla cupcake with strawberry icing, still waiting at 11:23 pm under the light of a streetlamp.
at 11:30, tommy quickly ran towards delilah. "im so sorry im late," he pants, out of breath. he looked at the chocolate cupcake sitting on his portion of the bench and smiled at the treat. "thank you," he told her and opened it up.
"mhmm," she hummed, scrolling through twitter.
tommy felt a pang of guilt. "i have an idea but we need your truck." this piqued delilahs attention and she raised a brow, grabbing her keys from her back pocket. tommy closed the container and the black haired female led him to the car. she drove the verbal directions she got from tommy and soon, they were at a bowling alley.
tommy smirked at delilah, who was looking at the 24 hour bowling alley lit up by the excessive amount of neon signs. she let out a small laugh and turned off the car. "to-tommy i can't pay for this right now," her eyes sparkled, completely condensing her words.
"who says youre paying?" he smiled at her, opening the door and leaving the car. delilah snapped out of it and followed tommy, going into the building.
"one lane, two people," he turned to his blue eyed friend. "what is your shoe size?"
"uh, eight and half," she told him and he told the female worker. the blond told the lady what his shoe size is and she gave the duo the shoes. delilah took hers and tommy walked over to the lane.
"he's cute," the worker whispered at delilah. "late night date?" she winked.
"oh, uh," delilah nervously laughed. "no. just friends. we met, like, a week ago maybe."
"oh, i am so sorry," she apologized and delilah nodded, walking back to tommy.
"the worker thought we were dating," delilah chuckled and tommy laughed as well.
"you're my friend," he shook his head, tying his shoes. "you want something from the bar?" she looked at the small but open bar behind their lane. she shook her head, going to find a bowling ball.
they found their bowling balls and tommy customized their names. delilah tied her shoes as tommy did so and saw that she was going first. she grabbed her purple ball and rolled it, making a perfect strike. "dang, if i knew that you're good at this i would've gone somewhere else," he joked around with delilah and she watched tommy do his turn.
the game ended with delilah winning, 143 to 80.
