chapter 1

the obnoxious alarm woke up minji. she annoyingly turned it off. she calmed herself.

"it's your first day in school. calm down. make your day a good one." she said to herself.

she took a bath and made a breakfast. then she brushed her teeth. she changed to her hoodie and pants.

she lives alone. unfortunately, her mother and father divorced. they have their own life and neglected their own daughter. that's why she's also heartless. she visit her grandma or auntie sometimes. or they're the one who will visit.

"new school, new life. please." she wished.

she wish she know someone in the school. she's in 4th yr college. she wish she can also see her older brother again. their father took him. she's basically no one's favorite.

she sighed as she walked to the gate. she wore her earphones even though it's not blasting with music. she wants no one to talk to her.

a few students gave her glances but she shook it off and proceeded walking to take her schedules.

the class is already starting, the teacher guide her to the class. the teacher walked faster and she walked slower.

"as usual. the transferee will surprise the students." she mumbled and scoffed. she heard the teacher say that there's a transferee. so she knocked.

"come in!" the teacher said. she scoffed and opened the door. when she entered, a lot whispered to each other.

"introduce yourself sweetie." the teacher said, smiling sweetly.

"i'm kim minji." she said. her teacher raised her eyebrows, waiting for another. but she just stared at her.

"okay! minji, seat beside changmin. changmin raise your hand." then changmin raised his hands. smiling sweetly.

"poor boy." minji said to herself. she sat beside him.

"hi~ i'm ji changmin! nice to meet you! how old are you?" changmin said nicely.

"21." she said coldly.

"oh. when's your birthday?" changmin said but he's interrupted by the teacher telling the lesson.

changmin shrugged and proceeded getting his books. he looked at his seatmate and shivered at how cold she looks.

changmin met with his friends in the hallway. they're heading to the cafeteria.

"hyung, my seatmate is a transferee. she's really scary. she's cold." changmin said.

"aren't you scary also?" chanhhe said and changmin glared at him.

"well. she's like, really really cold. i tried talking to her but she just reply so short." changmin said.

"aww she isn't melted by your cuteness." sunwoo said.

they're a group of 12. sangyeon, jacob, younghoon, and jaehyun are studying for business management. it's like they're fifth year of studying.

"how old is she?" jaehyun asked.

"she said she's 21. but i'm not sure with her birthday." changmin said. suddenly, they saw a chaos.

"GO GO GO!" students were yelling. when they saw it, it's the school's 'queens' and minji with another girl.

"ugh hey newbie, just fuck off. you don't care about our business here." yoora said. the leader they say. then behind her is kyungha and inhee.

"call me nosy or whatever, but saying things about other person that is not true is unacceptable." minji said.

"and how do you know it's not true?" inhee said.

"i know her, in my old school. now stop your nonsense bullying. what the hell do you even benefit from it? attention? then just do other things for attention. not bullying." minji said and left with the girl.

the boys are infact surprised. no one dared to fight with those brats.

"damn she tough." haknyeon said.

school ended and minji was supposed to go out, but suddenly, someone dragged her. she's faced with 9 boys in a hidden spot.

"what the fuck?" she asked.

"you're tough back there. we just want to be friends with you!" kevin said.

"uh... what if i say no?" minji said.

"please~" jacob then said.

"what did i do? why do you want to be friends with me?" minji asked.

"well. you seem cool." sunwoo said.

"that's it? bye." then she left. on her way out, she bumped with a boy but she didn't give a damn.

"yow bro that girl seem familiar." juyeon said.

"tsk you're right." jaehyun said.

"she looks familiar also." younghoon said. younghoon gave the boys their foods.

"what's the transferee's name?" jaehyun asked.

"kim minji. why?" at the mention of the name, younghoon suddenly choked in his food. juyeon hurriedly gave him water.

"woah why the fuck?" chanhee asked.

"kim minji? are you serious?" younghoon asked.

"bro no." juyeon and jaehyun said at the same time.

"why the fuck? we're curious!" eric said.

"younghoon hyung have a younger sister, and it's also our childhood friend." juyeon said. they all gasped.

"FOR REAL!?" kevin yelled. then the three nodded.

someone rang the doorbell in minji's apartment. she opened it and were faced with three boys. she widened her eyes when she realized who's infront of her.
