Neglect - Ji Changmin

chapter 5

(lets skip in to saturday)

minji woke up beside her brother. they're cuddling each other.

she smiled at the memories back then. she moved and younghoon woke up.

"why? is anything wrong?" younghoon asked.

"no. i will cook breakfast." minji said and stood up.

she did her morning routine and she proceeded in the kitchen. luckily, the house have pancakes and bacond.

she had a sleepover at the house while minho and his friends didn't. they said they need to go home with their family. she saw a leftover kimchi and decided to make it as kimchi fried rice.

the guys slowly woke up one by one by the smell of the food. they walked to the dining table, half asleep.

she found them cute. they're rubbing their eyes and their hairs is spiked up. she served them their foods.

they go to their room one by one again and go out now fully awake.

"damn this looks yummy." sunwoo said.

"you should taste her kimchi fried rice." jaehyun said. they all widened their eyes.

"what the fuck it's yummy!" kevin exclaimed and minji chuckled.

"so you and minho last night had a conversation. what did he say? comeback?" jaehyun asked.

"fuck no! he has a girlfriend now. he also told me that when i see him again, with his girlfriend, i need to come with my boyfriend. he said that i need to open up." minji replied and scoffed.

"well he's right though. you need to open up baby." younghoon said.

"fine. i-i'll try." minji said.

"start right now." juyeon said. she widened her eyes but soon give up.

"go bombard her with questions." jaehyun said.

"so how did you met minho?" kevin asked first.

"um. we met when i was 14 in a dance class. he's really a cute guy. we became friends. i told jaehyun and juyeon about them. juyeon even got mad at me because he said i have a new friend that's a dancer and born in 1998 also. but when i was 16, my mother and father left me. they neglected me. then my bestfriend left me. but minho was there. he's always there. he made me happy. i was also 16 when we became official. unfortunately, we broke up when i am 20 years old. he's the only one who can cheer me up. he's the only one that knows me better than anyone else. i was devastated when we broke up. even though it's nothing bad, i am sad that the one and only that knows me a lot, left me. i am never mad at him. why would i? he's such a sweetheart. he may be a little savage but he has a caring heart. he said that his current girlfriend really changed him. that's why i'm trying to open my heart for people." minji said and smiled a little.

"glad to know that. um, if you don't mind. what's with your family?" sangyeon said. she sighed.

"our family. i don't even describe them as family. they favored younghoon a lot. and i am never mad at him. it's not his fault that he's their favorite. i am mad at them. i achieved a lot but they never complimented me. they never celebrate my birthday. they never cheered me up. they don't know who their daughter is. once, i overheard their conversation. grandma asked why they don't even make me feel special. they said that they never expected me to come out. like i am an accident. they never even loved me. that's when i started asking if life is worthy. it's worthless. very worthless. i tried once to kill myself, but i am too afraid." she said and a lone tear escaped. the boys' heart soften.

"we're always here to support you, don't worry." eric said and she smiled.

"thank you." she said quietly.

some of the boys became close to her a little bit. her brother is happy that she's finally opening up. but there's someone who isn't happy.

"why can't i even talk to her geez. i'm afraid." changmin mumbled.

"what did you say?" jaehyun asked while munching on his chicken.

"nothing." changmin said and smiled. he ran beside minji.

"hi minji." changmin said smiling sweetly, but minji just nodded at him and she looked at haknyeon.

he felt sad. he just sighed and shook it off.
