Chapter 34: Could she be?

∞ Chanyeol ∞

"Look who's smiling.." Sehun noticed me smiling from ear to ear while washing the lettuce.

"Tss.. Why don't you go outside and buy some bubble teas...?" He pouted. He really dislikes running errands.

"Fine.. ￣ˍ￣ I'll bring Kai with me.." He walked towards Kai in a lame way and then they flee..

I finished washing the lettuce when I saw Dyo and Lyn talking to each other.

."Aissh... Coming here is just a waste of time if I'll just see that filthy girl roaming around my Oppa.."
I turned my face to the owner of the voice. It's Hwangjae...

"You shouldn't have come.." I responded moving the leaf vegetables into a clean bowl.

"Of course I should ... You know my purpose for coming, right? Just for him... but she stole my chance.." I heard her smirking. I hate this when she talks ill to someone. She still acting like a kid.

"Don't act like a kid Hwangjae... They're just cooking.. Look" I pointed to the direction where Lyn and Dyo helping each other..

"Whatever... what's mine is mine.."And then she turned around.. "Tell me when the food's ready.." And then she walked towards the living room.

I just gave a big sigh. A princess is always a princess. •﹏•

"Hey Channie... " Someone poked me.. It's Lay hyung.. "The lettuce.. I've been waiting for it for ages.."
"Oh... sorry hyung.. here it is.."

Afterwards, I walked passed Dyo and Lyn... I couldn't eavesdrop not in a very obvious way.. but I heard them talking about music..

Tssk.. This is the part where I can't relate. I know rap, play guitar... but I can't sing as high as D.O...

"Eyeing someone Chan?" Baek startled me...

"Nothing... I was just looking at them..."I replied.

"Yahh.. They look comfortable with each other.." I turned my face at him... Comfortable??? Gaah.. why not me?

"Oh.. but don't worry.. Dyo will not get Lyn from you. I know you like her man... " Baek really knows when I'm in this kind of situation.

"I don't mind them talking... And besides.. I just like her.. That's all.." But I'm afraid... it'll be more than that..

"Hahaha... It always starts like that Channie.." Baek patted me at the back..
I smiled.. "Come and let's go to them.. " He's really good at breaking scenes..
I'm really glad you are my friend Baek..

And then we walked to them.

∞ Lyn ∞

It's quite awkward for me to stand in front of this gas range. I never cooked in New York and it really bothers me now. I should have stayed in the living room with the other lazy guys but I couldn't. They made me do this..

However, the most awkward part is to stand beside this guys who was minutes earlier wearing a towel only.
That was the first time I saw someone like that.

And I believed, he feels the same way either. I can sense his wild embarassment but he can't leave the kitchen. Hungry mouths are waiting for them..

I got the knife and started to cut potatoes when...

"Ouch..." I hurt my finger. Blood started running through my palm.

I was feeling the pain in my finger when someone grabbed it and covered it with a handkerchief.

(⊙o⊙)？ It's him.

"You shouldn't have helped here. I can actually do it by myself." Reaching the bandage, he reprimanded.

"I was just trying to help... Ouch.." Gosh... It hurts more with alcohol in it.
He stopped for a while.. looking at a distance and went back to what he was doing.

"You could have refused.. Here.." He let go of my bandaged finger. "Go to the living room. Stay there and wait for lunch.." He walked back to the sink without looking at me..

I was about to walk towards him to say Thank You when Chanyeol appeared in front of me.

"Are you alright? Tell me.. Does it really hurt?" He held my hand and checked my finger.

"I'm fine now :)" Still staring at D.O, I responded Chanyeol.

"Come to the living room first. Jisoo-ssi would like to chat with you" And I was blown by Chanyeol's hand towards the living room.

I hope I can thank you enough next chance ;)

Even if I want to look back, I can't and I wouldn't like.

That moment when I grabbed her hand, an electrifying feeling struck me.

I can't tell why but I believe there's a connection between us and I'm craving to know..

"Dyo..." Someone patted me at my back. I found out I was preparing for the beef.

"Chen..."
"Are you okay?" I nodded when Chen asked.

"Mmm. Let's start cooking.. before these guys eat us." And we moved towards the grill area. We started making a fire.

"You know what... Lyn, our music mentor, is a bit interesting.. or shall I say mysterious.." I stared at him while he's trying to make fire.. Mysterious?

"Maybe it's because of her personality." Chen continued.
"I want to know her more.. but Kwon Namji-ssi is much more interesting." And he gave a smile while putting the beef over the grill.

I sensed it.. And I felt it. Her mystery is the same as my mystery..

Could she be?
