Alya
We suddenly appeared in a concrete cabin in the middle of the forest. I felt someone holding on to me behind me and remembered that Poppy, the only person who was ever nice to me for the last 5 years, was holding on to me for dear life while we rode Nico's huge Hellhound mastiff, Mrs. O'Leary. A sudden figure appeared beside us, it was Nico, he appeared to us yesterday in Ohio while on our journey from Oklahoma, telling us that he came to rescue us and bring us to camp. He told us to sit on the giant dog but I refused to unless I got some answers to who he was and where he was taking us. That's when Poppy pitched in. She explained that we weren't running away from CPS but instead she was bringing her to a camp for kids like me.
"Kids like me?" I asked with a confused expression across my face
She nodded "You are a demi-god, Alya Jayden."
"Cool last name" added Nico
"It's my middle name, I don't know my real last name, Nico," I answered snarkily, I don't like when people ask about my family since I can never answer them.
Nico reacted with "Woah, woah, calm down, feisty"
I had an urge to punch Nico but I just pushed those feelings down and set my eyes again on Poppy and asked her "What is a demi-god and why this camp?"
"Well, it means you are half god, half mortal and this camp is for protection. You know all the fits and visions you had with the monsters."
I nodded
"Well, they weren't nightmares, that was all real and I know I'm sorry for lying to you, it just was never the perfect time to tell you. Demi-gods are always being attacked by them because they always want to stir trouble" Poppy continued
I suddenly felt like crying, I couldn't say anything, I was choked up but then I remembered what happened if you cried in our foster home. You don't want to know, I mean it.
"At Camp Half-Blood, you will be able to train and learn how to protect yourself from these monsters along with other demi-gods. You will have a place to live, food and protection from the barrier. You can also get quests where you go out with other demi-gods to accomplish goals to help your demi-god community." said Poppy
"Alright but who is my parent? That should give me an answer to my lifelong question: who am I?" I asked
Nico and Poppy looked at each other "Well, you're 15? Right, Alya?" asked Nico. I nodded, then he started nodding softly "Ahhh, this should be fun. Ever since Percy made the Gods swear on
The River Styx that they would claim their demi-god children by the age of 13, they have actually kept their word with only a few exceptions but don't worry, I'm sure you will."
I shrieked with frustration at this answer "God damn it!" I shrugged the anger off "Alright, let's go to this camp, where is it?" I answered
"Long Island Sounds, New York" answer Nice
"You gotta be kidding me" I said as I shook my head "That is so far away, we will get there no time soon."
Nico shook his head and then he said that we would shadow travel with his Hellbound dog and it should only take a few minutes. So, I climbed on the giant dog as he had first instructed and Poppy sat behind me and held tight on to me. Then the dog started running but like super fast, I couldn't even tell what was happening. I felt queasy and felt like my face was burning until we appeared at a concrete cabin which is where we left off. I hopped off Mrs. O'Leary but suddenly I felt really dizzy and then all I saw was black.
