In the dead of night, the moon shines behind the window as a man sits down giggling. His smile was clear and her hair was as silver as the moon can be, "Tomorrow will be the Princess Competition, I wonder who's gonna win?" He asked the man standing in the shadows.

The man looked like a butler, though the place was too dark for his face to be seen, his voice sounded old, "Seeing as though Lady Bellany has fallen out of grace, I cannot predict who will soon win, my prince." He answered formally.

"Heh..." The prince smirked as though he felt relieved about what the old man just said, "To think there would be an opportunity like this." He muttered on his own as he stood and grabbed a glass of alcohol.

"The Lady Bellany, so smart and beautiful... to have you fall from grace makes things so delightful." He started speaking out, like he had a grudge to the lady as he took a sip from the glass, "I wanna see your expression tomorrow... That sense of inferiority, I wonder how you're going to take it." He continued as he started to laugh as the silver moon loomed upon him.

August, 1765 AD — Competition for the Princess Candidate!

At the front of the castle gate, commoners and nobles alike stand upon the coming candidates for the future empress.

Like people and paparazzi waiting for celebrities to walk down the red carpet, noble ladies from every house came like they were famous people being awarded a Nobel prize.

"I wonder who'll get chosen today."

"What about Lady Bellany?"

"Are you kidding, a week ago, it would have been fine; but the rumors of her having the lowest magical power instantly counts as a loss."

"Yeah I heard about it too, it was 0.5, right? Lower than the lowest commoners who live beside the streets?"

"How putrid, for a ducal to produce such disappointing descendants!"

"Hey hey, didn't you fall in love with her because of her beauty a week ago?"

"That was a week ago!"

"Wow... anyway, I think I know who'll be the chosen lady."

"Who?"

"Didn't you know? The daughter of a count with both beauty and magical power that equally the royal family?"

"But she's a count!"

"Even so... to have a magical power of 9 is saying you are above and equal the royal family."

"I guess so..."

The commoners and nobles gossiped and started to take bets on who will win. The reputation of Lady Bellany only continued to fall as the rumors of her low magical power has spread in a place full of sardines, while Lady Caste's reputation is the opposite.

The two opposing force, the light and night, has become the main gossip of the event as ladies from the kingdom and even from the neighboring countries!

Carriages came in and out from the red carpet when a familiar carriage stopped its turn, with the emblem of the Bellany Family, the people's mouth stopped as they awaited to mock the Ducal Family and tarnish their name.

Only, that didn't work.

The door opened and as though they were about to shout, the lady that came outshined like the sun as people expected her to be the moon. Her white and red dress reflected upon her aura as she looked like a saint with the devil's spirit.

Her beauty illuminated people's eyes as they forgot the fact that Lady Bellany was once called the most beautiful in the empire.

The Lady only smiled as people stared in awe and anger as they felt like the predator just became the prey in the snap of a finger.

As I expected, this body is too beautiful to be made fun of.

To think that I would use my own face to beat a thousand men, I never thought that would be possible, "That was really nerve-wracking." I muttered by myself as I held my chest softly to help with my anxiety.

Even though I am the Lady Bellany, it's still my first time walking down an aisle full of people waiting to chew you into ground meat.

The giant door opened and I reached the end of the aisle without any worry as I arrived inside the Royal Castle where the other lady has already marked their prey to chew down upon later on, "That's me, damn it!" (TvT)

Suddenly, roars and shouts began to appear behind the closed doors as I looked behind, expecting a certain someone to appear.

The doors opened slowly as the girl I expected appeared. Her blonde hair, shining like gold flowed smoothly as her blue eyes shined like the ocean. The dress she wore was also yellow with white, which matched her hair so beautifully

I unconsciously blushed as I saw the protagonist's beauty. I know she was beautiful but I didn't know she would be this beautiful in person!

Yet, I smiled at the same time.

The first piece is in place, "Kyubi, go." I ordered my devil as my hands cast a little flame that flowed secretly below the floor. I looked at Belle as my spirit went down her neck as she looked startled for a minute then looked at me.

I was walking up the stairs towards the resting room as I told her to come by moving my finger secretly while smiling.

I can see her gulp for a little bit as her worried and shocked face would be as expected from the words I sent her... but I can see her mind made up as she followed me upstairs where I was sitting in wait with a confident look.

"Was... what you said true?" She asked me quite shyly as her character depicted in the manga is accurately copied here.

The shy and innocent Belle loved by the people, later known as the saint. It was her that prevented Lady Yveria from execution, saved by the one she swore to destroy, it destroyed Yveria's dignity instead.

"Answer me, was what you said true?" She asked once more as I flinched, not knowing I've been admiring her beauty since the time she went inside, "Is it true someone will dare attack the competition?!"

I smiled, "Yes, and that's why I need your help — The magician who chose the Thema: Darkness!"
