Wow. I haven't slept that well in months. I was always to busy doing work or talking to Haley to get enough sleep. But tonight was different. I went to sleep with a huge smile on my face. Not only because of my vogue interview that went quite well if you ask me, but also meeting that man Niall in the hallway.

I woke up to the sound of New York cabs and busy streets. Getting out of bed I stretched while making a groaning noise that sounds like a moose. Then I went into the kitchen to make some breakfast.

I sleepily turned the tv on to the news to see what was happening this morning in the busy city of New York. Car crashes, new businesses, and famous people coming in and out. But then something caught my eye. "Vogue looking for new writer, but it looks like the spot was taken." Taken? What's that supposed to mean? Did someone else get it right on the spot? Did I get it? So many thoughts were going through my mind.

After making an omelet with eggs, peppers, and cheese I sat at my little apartment table and ate it peacefully. Engrossed in the news I heard a bang in the hallway followed by a long line of cuss words.

I couldn't help but giggle at the clumsiness of people in my building. It was small but hipster. I loved it so much.

A few moments later I was startled when a loud knocking occurred on my door. I got up and looked in the mirror.

I need to take better care of myself. If I'm going to work at Vogue I need to step up my appearance.

I opened the door slowly only to be greeted by a stressed out looking Niall. I instantly felt a rush go though me and I could feel the heat in my cheeks.

"Oh hey!" He said in that strong accent. "Um hi?" I said still a bit confused on why he was here. "I was wondering if u could help me, I dropped another box and needed some help picking it all up." He spoke to me like he already knew I would say yes. "Yea sure." I squeaked before stepping into the hallway which was lit by the light from the big city around me.

We picked up the box it was silence until Niall spoke, "So you live across the hall then? "with a friendly smile. "Um yea I've lived here since I got out of Uni." "Wow a collage girl." oh boy how old was this man? Was he a 35 year old or a 19 year old. I couldn't help but ask. "So what made you pick the Platinum Hotel to live in." I said trying not to sound to nosy.

"Well I want to get a job here but I'm not really sure what to do. So if I'm gonna be here a while looking I might as well stay in the most hipster hotel in all of New York." I couldn't help but feel a little proud to live here. With that we stood up and took the box to his door.

So he's looking for a job. Good. Probably around my age of 21 that's a good start.

"Thank you Rose." Niall said in his still so charming voice. "Anytime." I smiled and stood in his doorway while he brought the box to his couch.

"Come in." he spoke cautiously almost not wanting to scare me. I stepped inside and looked around. It was just like mine but had a more masculine feel. I liked it. I could get used to it.

As he gestured us into the living room I sat on the couch looking out onto the busy streets of New York.

"It's so beautiful." he said while looking in awe at the sight of New York. "Yea it's pretty nice." I said also feeling happy that I lived in such a great place. We sat close on the couch. I felt an excitement run through me.

As the morning went on we talked about little things in life like our favourite movies, books, foods and so much more. As we laughed at a funny memory Niall about when he and his brother ran around their house naked my phone began to ring. I completely forgot I put it in my pocket before going into the hallway. The number looked unfamiliar but I answered anyway. I gave Niall a look saying excuse me while I answered the phone.

"Hello?" I spoke quite curious to the mystery phone number.

"Hello! This is Ana, is this Rose Love?" Oh my. Ana was calling me. To tell me I got the job? To tell me that I didn't get it? I was so nervous I hadn't even noticed I was pacing around. "Yes, yes it is." was all I managed to say awaiting the maybe exciting news.

As we spoke I couldn't help but look to Niall who had a very confused look on his face.

As the phone call ended I said politely "Thank you Ana." Wow. It happened.

"What was that all about" Niall asked obviously very curious. I sat back on the couch and looked at those deep blue eyes.

"I got the job!" I smiled.
