If somebody were to tell Jessie that this was a very bad idea from the start then she would have probably laughed at first but now? Jessie lifted her cat head above them while still on Cain's shoulder in cat form still trying to climb down the mountain. There were burnt ashes scattering everywhere around them and it wasn't helping that some of the branches that was caught on fire was falling down on the edge of the cliff. She didn't even want to look down to see how far high up they were and only focus on what's above them. Cain was slowly and safely trying to see what was the best way to climb down without slipping. Jessie noticed that any kind of little spark that was burning above them was transporting the small flames and touching the forest below them so even if they made it to the bottom the forest below them would also start to catch on fire too and that is something that they cannot afford to stick around here.

" Hey Cain sorry to disturb you and I don't really want to rush you but we got a problem if we don't get to the bottom quickly" said Jessie

"What are you saying now in a time like this?" Asked Cain sweating real bad

"Everything that's burning above us is coming down below us" said Jessie

"Yes I can see that and? Asked Cain again " it's better than falling to your death"

"Good point" said Jessie

Jessie cat ears were twitching back because she heard a lot of crackling sounds above them that a tree limb was going to fall above them. She lifted her cat head to see a burning tree branch about to slide off the edge of the cliff toward them. Cain wasn't paying attention on what was going on above them but was concentrating on getting them down.

Once the burning branch slipped and was falling just almost above them, Jessie jumped on Cain's head then took another leap upward toward the wooden branch and she pulled back her one back leg and when she got close to it, she did a powerful kick back to the branch using her wind powers to push the branch off the side away from hitting Cain. Once she got rid of the branch aside she was falling above Cain backward. She had to twist her body around forward for her to land on four of her paws back on Cain's head. The whole time she was discarded branches and Cain hasn't even noticed anything, which was a good sign that he had a one-tracked mind that at least he trusted her in doing this task. From all the way down the mountain Jessie had to knock over more branches that were coming down their way. She was pretty much Cain's shield until they would get to the bottom.

When they finally got to the very bottom of the lower part of the forest they were on foot again and they looked around and saw that there were burnt logs everywhere and they were ashes raining down around them. Another forest in front of them had a few trees that was about to start burning up in flames and burning other trees.

" I saw a bunch of homes in that direction " said Jessie pointed out with her black tail " If we head out in that direction we should be out of the woods"

" Sounds good to me" said Cain

Just before they were going to take off running Jessie lifted her head up and saw that she accidentally scratched Cain on his shoulder. Cain was walking toward the direction where they were planning on going until he stopped and turned his head toward Jessie. He noticed that Jessie was still standing there glaring at him with her cat eyes wide open. No.... not at him but at his shoulder and......his back.....dang it this was why he always was wearing a shirt to cover up his scars on his back.... He never let anyone look at his back because of how ugly it looked
