"Sir?" Tyler said sitting in the computer room on his desk putting his glasses up to his nose "I have lost connection with Flarea."

"What?!" a voice sounded in the room "Where was the last signal?" he walked back and forth behind Tyler

"At River park, I tried calling her cellphone but theres no answer" he continued

"When was the last time you talked to her?" he questioned

"Right after you gave me the order to send her out to hunt down a wolf shifter" he said "I called her around midnight but she hasn't called me back yet, something might have gone wrong"

The man was silent for a moment until Tyler interupted he's thoughts

"Mr. Bradford?" Tyler said turning his head to stare at him "Do you want me to assemble a search party?"

Mr.Bradford was man in his fourties. Wearing his suits and ties everyday at work that also fits his brown hair and blue eyes.

"No that will be a waste of our precious time seaching for her" he groaned "We have enough problems to deal with than run around in circles trying to find her"

"But Mr.Bradford, Flarea is one of the few protecters here" he said "And she might even be in trouble for all we know"

"I didn't ask for your opinion Tyler" he snapped "She can take care of herself but for now if she does call, you let me know" he said "Understand?"

"Yes Sir" he nodded

"But I do want to know if she killed the wolf shifter or not?" Mr.Bradford said "That would be trouble for us if she didn't"

"So what do you suppose we do Sir?" Tyler said

"Well we could send out other protecters to the location of where we last lost her" Mr.Bradford said rubbing his chin. "As a matter-of-fact Flarea does have a cousin who is one of the protecters, why don't you give her a call and send her over there."

"Yes Sir" Tyler said

Tyler picked up the phone and started dialing. Mr.Bradford smiled from where he was standing at. Finding Flarea wasn't going to be hard after all. Flarea trained really hard to being what she is but even tho she might think her animal was a bad thing that ever happened to her.

Flarea P.O.V.

When I ran as fast as I could in the woods I didn't even look back to see if Andrew was following me or not but I didn't hear him coming, I was relieved of it.The clothes I was wearing felt like it was dragging me down so I wanted to strip off my clothes and shifted into a fox. The clothes only slipped off of me while I changed into form. When I shifted my arms and legs became fur all the way down then I looked behind me and there was a fluffy orange tail with a white tip at the end. I wanted to feel free for the moment and my fox liked it too but before going back to the alley to get my stuff from behind the dumpster. I left Andrew without saying goodbye to him.

"I hope he's not angry with me" I thought running up the top of the hill that viewed the city. "But then again I'm glad if he is, it would make it much easier for me"

"Somehow I got a bad feeling I'm going to see him again soon" I stiffened lowering my head down

"He didn't even realized that I was the fox that he was looking for"

"I think he's hiding something but I don't know what yet"

There was alittle breeze coming up from behind me. I lifted up my head and smelt the fresh air. I heard nothing but the crickets and that was a good thing. If I didn't hear them and if it was quiet then it would be something wrong.

I ran down the trail that led threw the woods to the city. It was still dark out so it would be easy for me to get my stuff and head over to my apartment.

"I think I need a really good shower when I get there" I groaned

When I got to the alley there was nobody there not even the dead wolf I killed acouple days ago. Usually if you kill a shifter they go back to their human form but for some reason the wolf wasn't here. The only thing that was left was the blood stain on the concrete floor.

"Maybe someone saw the body and called 911" I thought "Have the police takened him?"

I shifted back to human and walked over to the dumpster then grabbed my stuff and started putting them back on me. It felt good having my own clothes on. I grabbed my sword, guns, and my knife and left before anyone saw me.

The apartment was acouple miles away but my legs took me there and my mind was somewhere else at the moment of all the things of what happened today. It will soon be daylight so a quick shower, and a full stomach would be nice before bed.

I walked up to my apartment building to the front door then I unlocked the door and went inside. Before I got upstairs I felt like someone was here. I got my gun out from off my belt and pointed it upstairs. I slowly climbed up the stairs to where my bedroom was and I knew I wasn't alone.....
