i had fun with this chapter 😉
"So, don't you two have anything special?" Taylor asked the man sitting beside her on the couch, his arms were wrapped around her shoulder. They were on the terrace, watching the stars shine on the starry night.
He looked at her, raising his eyebrow. The green in his eyes shined as bright as ever, the moonlight giving her a clear view of it's color.
"No, more like friends with benefits." He replied casually, caressing her bare shoulders with his thumb. He liked the feeling of being beside her, it surely made him feel safe. She was purely the summer to his winter.
"Ok.." She said in a slow manner, as if she had a lot of thought in mind. She pushed his hand away from her shoulders, avoiding his touch. However, Harry sensed a hint of jealousy in the tone of her voice, making him smile. He turned his head again to watch her, making her reciprocate the action too.
"Did I just sense something right there?" He asked filled with arousal. He was sure that was a slight hint of jealousy, which means she indeed does care about him. The grin in plastered on his face seemed to get wider each second as the silence filled around them.
After a few moments, she replied. "Sensed what?"
"That was green-eyed jealousy, my dear." He replied which made the eyebrows on her face narrow, a crease forming inbetween. She surely had been pissed off by one assumption, which was actually true.
"Bold of you to assume that." She replied while rolling her eyes, shifting her figure a few inches away to avoid his touch. Harry laughed, amused by the current situation.
"Don't worry, I'd prefer to be with you than anyone else." The grin on his face disappeared, he covered his mouth as soon as he noticed why those words just suddenly came out. A blush then creeped in his face, making him play coy.
The woman beside him too had shivers running down her core, the skin on her body suddenly feeling the running tension around them become thicker. She gulped, her face as red as a rose.
She shook her head off, trying to put on her confidence. Maybe she should play with the words too, right? You'd never win the game if you don't go along.
"I'll say I would do the same too, Harry." She watched him turn his head to her, his eyes wide. She laughed as she saw his blushing face, before leaning her head unto his shoulders. Harry's breath hitched, surprised by the blonde's gesture. He doesn't know what to do. But an urge in his body told him to wrap his hands around her, feel the touch of her delicate skin. And so he did it.
The blonde's head was nearby his chest, giving her the chance to listen to his heartbeat. She giggled at the sound of it, noticing it became as loud as it was everytime her head comes in contact with his chest.
"But then, why are you with him?" Harry asked, making Taylor stop her little movements on his chest. She swallowed the lump on her throat, before answering back.
"It's just my lifestyle, Harold." She let out a sigh, indicating she was tired of it. Harry was filled with curiousity and worry, wondering why she was tense about it.
She continued, "It would not be a big deal later anyways. I'll break off our relationship, his wife found out about us." She closed her eyes, still leaning on his chest. Harry felt his hands being grabbed by Taylor, in which she crossed her fingers with his. Both were feeling comfort in each other's touch.
"Oh damn, when did she find out?" He asked as he ran his free hand on her blonde hair, loving the feeling of his hands being buried under her golden locks.
