I could not sleep. I had made a deal with a prince, stupidly so. We were going to pretend to like each other, to ensure my place for a while, and so the girls are more interested in him.
"So, a lot more girls having been coming to talk to me." That was good, nothing more was happening to me. "Great. That was the whole point." He smiled. "We have to carry on, is what I'm trying to say." Ohh. "That's fine, but you can't keep me in until the last minute." A group of about 5 girls stood by the stairs, he kissed my cheek. "I'll keep you as long as I want." My stomach fluttered, even though it wasn't meant to.
Laying in bed, I realise, that nothing was in it for me in mine and the princes plan. He was keeping me here, and I didn't want to be here. I rise up from the bed and open my door. "Oh my g-" A brown haired guard turns to look at me, Archie. "What are you- doing here?" He looked at me, I couldn't tell how he was feeling. "I'm a guard. I got the job a few weeks-" A few weeks ago, when we broke up. "Okay, that's uh- cool."
"There are now 15 of you. You are disappearing quickly girls, earn your place." 'Earn your place' what if I didn't have a place to be earned?
"Hey." Prince Caspian came up behind me and kissed my cheek, in front of everyone. "You are going to seem biased." I whispered as his arms snaked around me. "Well I am." Oh god. His words ringed in my ears.
