Lay - Too kind

You shivered in the Autumn breeze, hugging yourself for warmth.
You felt a warm jacket over your frail figure, only to see a thinly clothes Lay beside you, giving you those smiles that could turn a blind person un-blind.
"But Lay you're going to be-"
"Shh, my angel. It's fine!"
Frowning but nodding, you two continued to walk in silence, admiring the orangish yellow leaves that dropped to the ground in front of you, as if hailing in front of the King and Queen.
Suddenly, a cry was heard.
Being the curious person he was, Lay quickly went to find the source of noise.
"Lay!" You called, reaching your hand to grab him but he didn't hear you, already seeing the little girl, wandering alone.
By the time you reached him, breathless, you sighed. You couldn't help but smile at the sight. Lay helped the lost little girl blow her nose in a tissue and he gave her a reassuring lollipop that you had bought for him.
"Meili!" a voice yelled.
"Mama!" the girl screamed and you smiled at the reunion of the two, hugging.
"I told you to stay near the ducks, you scared me so much!"
"I'm sorry mama, I promise not to do it again!"
The mother noticed us and ran towards us, bowing repeatedly.
"Thank you so much!" she called. "I'm so thankful for you two! God bless you!"
The two of you bashfully shook your heads, replying with the usual 'aha, it's what anyone would do' and when they left, you poked at Lay.
"Stop running off like that! And I can't believe you have the lollipop I bought you to that kid!"
A worried expression filled his face. "I'm so sorry! I knew it meant so much I'm sorry, let's go get another one! Oh I'm the worst boyfriend ever!"
You squeezed his lips shut with a pout.
"Don't be silly. I was only joking. It's fine, just being here with you is enough."
He smiled and out of nowhere, pulled you into a big hug.
"I love you so much angel!"
He buried his face in your neck, inhaling the sweet scent of you. You laughed, the beautiful sound filling his ears like a melody.
