Zoey Kagel
I'm foraging around in my bag for my house keys when I find a neatly folded post it note in my bag.
It was fun meeting you. Call me if you want to do it again sometime?
— LukeAnd there's his number.
Now isn't this a wonderful shock? I didn't see him have the chance to write anything down, let alone sneaking it into my bag.
There's a noise on the other side of the apartment door before it springs open. Roman is standing there in his fake breasts and stockings. God, I wish my boobs were that perky.
"How did it go?" he says, eyes sparkling with the subtle pink shadow.
My grin is ridiculous. "Amazing!"
He does a little gig on the spot, stopping at the sounds of the door opening across from us. "Oh, hey, Mrs Marshall."
The old lady's eyes couldn't be any wider when I turn to look at her. I think she's in shock because she's not moving. I cover my mouth, pushing my way past Roman who's prodding at the prosthetic nipples.
"I usually wear bigger than these, but thought I would tone it down for the daytime."
I laugh to myself, dumping the sandwich bag on the dining table for Roman and go to switch the kettle on, listening to him say something else to our eighty-year-old neighbour before shutting the door.
I get up onto my toes to grab a mug from the cupboard. "I brought you a sandwich back."
The happy noise leaving his mouth brings a smile to mine. "Oh, thank you, sweetness. My favourite?"
I turn to him. "Yeah, on the sea salt and seeds loaf."
Roman rushes over to the dining table to pull open the sandwich bag. "Bellissima!"
The kettle pops in warning to it reaching the perfect temperature to brew my green tea leaves. I'm very particular about my tea. I don't bother with the bags, I want it straight from the source, enjoying the process of brewing and straining.
"So, what time is your gig at Bushy's tearooms?" They have the best Drag Queen afternoon tea and brunches there. It's next level good.
There's mustard on the sides of his mouth when he answers me. "At one o'clock. I'm thinking of doing two different looks."
"Oh, yeah?" I raise an eyebrow "What are you thinking?"
He keeps on chewing, waving me through to the glam room where he has several outfits lined out. There's sparkles and sequins literally everywhere. I'm drawn to the silk dressing gown with the feather edging.
"Oh, you need to wear this one. I love it when you put those rollers in your hair and do your makeup all glamorous. It's so chic, yet funny." A TOWIE spinoff if you will.
