Unedited. I'm uploading this before going to bed, so I haven't had chance to check through it, but I will tomorrow. ♥️

"Since when did you get such a potty mouth?" Dad asks, slicing into his steak.
I'm taking my parents out for dinner before I go off touring the country with Rockafella next week. I was just telling them about the crazy interviews, unaware of my swearing.
Mum puts her fork down to sip her wine. "She's around rockstars. I doubt they sensor their language."
Dad shakes his head. "Probably not. Just an observation."
I spoon more guacamole on my spicy bean fajitas. "They do swear a lot. Namely Luke. But, I'll try make a conscious effort to stop. I don't actually like swearing."
"Why? I love to swear. Fuck is such a good word."
"Mum!" I say on a loud laugh.
She grins. "Well, it is. Especially used in the right circumstances."
Now dad's trying to suppress a grin and I'm feeling out of the loop. I chew my food and watch them both sneak little glances and smiles. Weird.
I clear my throat. They snap their gazes my way. "Just a pre-warning not to watch The David Show tomorrow night."
Dad frowns. "Why?"
"Just don't okay." Luke describing his favourite sexual position is something I want to protect them from if they're going to build a relationship.
"Okay. I won't," he says, shoving more food in his mouth.
Mum tucks her hair behind her ears. I'm loving the blonde, curly wig she has on today. It makes her porcelain skin pop. She's absolutely stunning. I'm so proud of her.
"I have a few more wigs in my bag for you. Dream Wigs sent me a package the other day," I say and she nods.
"Thank you, honey. So, I know this is a only short trip, but you'll come up to see us once you're done touring, right? I want a full week with you all to myself," she says.
They're only here for the day, but we'll make the most of it. I do, however, plan on spending two weeks back home once everything settles down. I'm hoping for it to be around August time so we can celebrate dad's fiftieth birthday in style.
I swallow my bite of food. "Yeah."
Dad clears his throat. "Okay, so this is killing me. I know you wanted to wait a while longer, honey, but I don't like keeping secrets from Zoey. Your mum and I are back together."
My fork nearly clatters on the plate. They both stare at me. Well, mum is giving dad little evils, expression changing when she looks at me. I reach for my drink. Swallow a big gulp and then attempt to talk.
"I don't know what to say."
"Oh, gosh, this is why we needed a plan. You can't just land all that information on her shoulders at once," mum says, shuffling her chair closer to me to squeeze my hands.
"For how long?" This is quite literally the best news of my life.
Dad answers. "Almost a year."
"A year?" I choke.
He shuffles his chair closer too me while mum taps my back. "Yes. Are you angry?"
"No." I shake my head. "No, not angry. If anything, I'm on the verge of tears. This is all I ever wanted."
