Author's Note: I don't have much to say about this part except for some... interesting things that happen.

In other news, I'm working on editing Masked, and I'm also working on getting some art together for the oneshot called This Sucks.

 Anyways,

 Enjoy!

 Scar's POV:

False and I were flying through the Nether portal and towards Rendog's base. If we're lucky, and I severely hope that we are, we'll be able to reach Ren before that cat woman does.

I hope we can... I don't want anymore else to get hurt.

" Soo, Goodtimes." False's voice came from behind me as we flew through the red 'sky'.

" Yeah False?" I looked back at False briefly then turned as gently as I could in the air. Maybe going through the roof was a bad idea; I don't even know where Ren's portal is exactly.

" You still haven't filled me in on who this cat woman is... Why is she targeting hermits?" False questioned as I spotted what looked like a red pathway with some sand sprinkled over it.

 Bingo!

I looked back towards False again then pointed down towards Ren's portal. False nodded at me, and the two of us dove down towards the portal.

" From what I understand, this is all just to do some sort of revenge ritual; A ritual of power." I explained as False narrowed her eyes.

" Ugh, people trying to gain power through villainous means." False gently rolled her eyes as we stepped into the portal. I nodded my head as we were teleported to Ren's island base.

I blinked a couple of times and shook my head as I stepped out of the portal. My whole body shook as I immediately looked around the elytra landing pad.

" RENDOG!?" I called out as False exited the portal right behind me.

" RENDOG?!" False shouted as well as she looked around urgently. The hermit looked towards me with a frown.

Suddenly, a loud scream came from the island below. All the hairs on my body stood up as my eyes widened.

" RENDOG!" False and I both yelled as we hurried out of the open archway and leapt out of it and towards where the scream came from.

Below us, Ren was spotted running around the outside of the island in his dog form. Behind him, the cat woman was on all fours with her fur and hair glowing like fire; there was a wicked look in her eyes.

" JUST LET ME KILL YOU MUTT!" The woman yowled viscously.

I looked towards False and pointed towards the cat woman, " Do what you do best, False." I grinned as False swiftly nodded and dove down with her sword out.

When False made contact with the cat woman, it was my turn to dive down and grab Ren before he could stop and watch the action.

Ren let out a loud, surprised bark when I forced my hands under his fuzzy belly and scooped him into the air with a quick lift.

The dog-formed hermit wiggled as he barked loudly, " Easy Ren!" I yelled as I flew back towards the high Nether portal for safety, " We're here to help you."

Once we were in the relative safety of the Nether portal area, Ren looked up at me with a drained expression. It wasn't quite like how the others were when they were drained, but it seemed like he was getting close to that state.

Why was Ren able to keep his strength up?

" Ren, can you talk?" I questioned as Ren blinked tiredly, " Y-Yeah..." he mumbled as his ears lowered. I adjusted him in my arms, " What did she do to you?"

Ren blinked slowly, " U-Uh... Lady touched m'back..." he put his head against my chest, " B-Body hurt... but I kept running..." he stuck his tongue out. I rubbed the back of Ren's neck as his eyes started to close.

Okay, so, we were too late to actually keep Ren from getting harmed. However, this does answer how Ren was able to keep away from the cat woman for so long.

 Pure adrenaline.

I opened my inventory and brought out the bag that I was carrying Grian in. I thought I wouldn't need it again, but I guess that I did.

Gently, I slid Ren into the bag and after strapping it to my chest, " Roooo...." Ren looked up at me as I patted his head again, " You're safe in here bud, trust me." I smiled as Ren nodded and shoved himself further into the bag. Once Ren was settled inside the bag, I closed it to the point where he couldn't slip out accidently while still being able to breathe.

After I was finished, I quickly hurried to the entrance and looked down towards False and the cat woman.

False had managed to pin the cat woman to the ground with her boot; the hermit's shoulder and arm had a giant gash in it.

I frowned as I put my hand over Rendog.

 " What do I do?"

 I whispered.

 " What do I do?"

I kept staring at False as she held her sword to the cat woman. Cautiously, and stealthily, I glided down from the safety of the Nether portal landing and hid behind a palm tree in order to watch the cat woman and False.

" I have to commend you for your skills, blonde hermit." The cat woman hissed, " You're far stronger than the others."

False wasn't speaking; her whole body was hunched over as she stared down at the cat woman. The cat woman slowly turned herself over in order to stare up at False. The two were now in a joint silence until the cat woman grinned.

Slowly, False continued to dig her boot into the woman's back causing the hybrid to hiss in pain, " Y-You're lucky that I don't want your abilities, hermit." The cat woman hissed as her eyes glowed an icy, familiar blue.

 My eyes widened,

 " FALSE WATCH OUT IT'S-!"

False was hit in the leg with a large bolt of blue magic that caused her to stumble off of the cat woman and onto the sand.

 " V-Vex magic..."
