Author's Note: Even more of an intermission. Trust me on this, it's all coming together now. Pretty soon, we'll be at the end of this narrative, so I need some fluffing before we get there. This is the last intermission though, so we are getting pretty close to the end when all things are considered.

I don't really have much to say, and I'm still pretty sore after going on a really, really long hike. Standing up is such a pain.

 Enjoy the story part though!

 X's POV:

The room was silent as Grian fell into a deep, exhausted sleep; his face and hands, being the only parts of skin visible on his whole body, were back to being incredibly pale.

I looked at the readings I was getting on my communicator and stared blankly at it again. Just how will the magic afflict him this time?

Will he become a feral cat?

Will he return to his normal self but smaller?

 Will nothing happen?

I wish I could tell, but I truly just understand code and some basic magic. I wish Cleo could help me, but she's been incredibly busy with her zoo as of late. Wels could also help, but he also knows the basics as well. Besides, I haven't even seen Wels since last season...

I haven't even seen him make any online posts in the other world...

With a brief shake of my head, I let out a small laugh. No, Wels should be fine! He's just taking a break from Hermitcraft. We all need breaks sometimes, and it's a perfectly normal occurrence.

 I hope anyways...

My antenna twitched as a weak groan came from Etho's bed. I turned towards him and gently hovered over to him. Once there, I looked over him as his eyes slowly opened.

" Sssssuuuma?" Etho slurred as a small mist came from his mouth. I flinched at the cold but eventually nodded, " Hi Etho... How're you fairing mate?" I questioned with a tilt of my head. Etho blinked, " C-Cold..." he whispered as he slowly rolled onto his side.

I frowned and grabbed some more blankets from a chest and gently cocooned him. Etho wiggled slightly before submitting himself to the blankets surrounding him. A small smile formed across his face as he slowly went back into a comfortable sleep.

I was sighing with relief until a weak groan came from Beef's bed. Slowly, I buzzed over to the bull hybrid as he rolled onto his side and looked up at me.

" 'sumaa.... W-Where's... horns?" Beef whispered as the ear he wasn't laying on tried to perk up. I leaned down so that he could hear me better, " I rubbed a potion on you that briefly got rid of your horns." I told him. The Canadian whimpered slightly.

" Don't worry." I put my clawed hand against his cheek and smiled, " They'll be back when you get your strength back." I reassured him with a nod. Beef's tail twitched as he shook slightly, " Mmmmmm..." he looked towards Etho's bed and slowly tried to reach his hand out to him.

" Rrk! " Beef's entire arm tensed up as he whimpered in pain and dropped his hand. Quickly, I looked at his arm and let out a sigh of relief, " It's just muscle strain... You thankfully didn't pop or break anything more than what's alright damaged." I told him.

Beef made a small 'mrroo' sound before reclosing his eyes. I gently nodded my head and tucked the hybrid in before petting his head.

After I was finished with taking care of Beef, I looked down towards the pile of blankets and pillows were Cub rested.

 It's a shame.

I wish I could've given Cub a dehybrid potion before he shifted into his weaker form. Though, honestly, I don't think it would've done him any good. From what I've gathered about hybrids, being in these 'weaker' animal forms helps them recover and keep safe.

Still, without the power that the cat woman stole from Cub, I don't think that he can bounce back all that quickly. I just hope that Scar and False can defeat her before its too late...

With the checkups done, I went back to the desk that I had put into the room and started to work on fixing some stray code and arguably just keeping myself busy until a new problem arises.

((A toddler version of Zedaph is sniffing at a sign that reads ' Roughly an hour later '))

 " Xisumaavoiiiiid."

A sing-songy whisper broke me out of my focus.

" H-Huh?" I craned up from my crouched position and stared up at a smiling Bdubs. My antenna twitched as I leaned back in my chair causing my spine to pop.

" Hey Bdubs... What're you still doing here?" I tiredly questioned as Bdubs crossed his arms, " Well, it's just you here taking care of three delirious and strong Hermitcraft members." he answered as he motioned over to the three hermits.

I blinked, " I mean, they seem to be doing just fine... Etho's magic is a bit... off, but it's nothing I can't handle." I yawned. Bdubs crossed his arms, " X... Just trust me on this, man. This is me trying to work with Doc on things, sooooo." he raised and lowered his eyebrows with a smirk.

With a smirk in return, I nodded my head, " I assume you want me to take a break?" I tilted my head as Bdubs shook it, " No, we probably need a medium to all this... I'll go get Doc." he quickly grinned as he turned and left the room. My antennae twitched again as I crossed my arms over my chest.

In what seemed like only a couple of seconds, Bdubs walked into the room with Doc trailing behind. The creeper hybrid's ears were twitching as he stared at Etho, Beef, and Cub.

" Hmm..." Doc eventually turned towards me, " Bdubs told me that you needed our help to look after these three."

 I swiftly nodded at him.

Doc's tail shook, " If we are to do that, than we need some answers, Xisuma." he narrowed his normal eye as his robotic eye refocused slightly.

I nodded again, " Yez, I don't think I told you two about what we're dealing with..." I shook my head slightly.

The two hermits leaned against the wall as I pulled up some security footage of the server. With their full attention towards the screen, I pressed play and remained silent as they watched the fight between Void, Scar, Grian, and Cub versus the cat woman.
