No one wants to get hurt, and no one wants to go through it alone. But Amihan and Pierce, they are a different story, well, kind of.
"Hey guys, what do you call the reflection when a loser looks inside a mirror?" a guy asked his friends as they passed through Amihan in the cafeteria, making sure that she hears him. She listened and stayed silent knowing what was coming.
"Amihan," he said.
"I wonder what life is like for rejects." says another while cackling. Amihan bit her bottom lip to keep herself from doing or saying anything that she'll regret. She just kept her head low and continued to eat. The guy left with his friends, laughing.
They reached their friend, Pierce.
"Hey, bro. Oh, wow. What happened to your eye?" one of Pierce's friends asked him. "I got beat up by some random drunk guys on my way to school. I'm fine though. Just, a little sore." he explained. He lied though. It was because of his step-dad. But his friends didn't need to know that.
"Woah. Ok well, we're going to The Shack with the girls, wanna come with us?" one offered. Pierce sighed knowing that he can't go. Besides, he doesn't want to go. "Uh, no thanks, guys. I'll just stay here" he answered.
"Well, that's your loss. Seriously dude, you gotta find yourself a girlfriend so that you won't feel left out every time we hang out with the girls" Pierce faked a laugh. "I'd rather not too but thanks, I guess." His friends left and he was just standing there for a moment. He finally started walking but he wasn't going to the counter to buy food,
he was going for the exit.
