The Pierce in Amihan's Heart

"Ok, so here's the deal, do you really want to be a musician?" Amihan asked Pierce, trying to contain her laughter.

Pierce nodded, "Of course! It's been my dream ever since I was a kid, I really love music. I love singing it and making it; so why not be a musician, right?" Amihan laughed. "Wow. So that's why you wear those kinds of clothes." she teased him. Pierce placed his hand on his chest,

"Ow! Touche, Ami. But hey, you gotta admit, I look good" he said, making Amihan wrinkle her nose. "I think I'll pass, thank you very much" Pierce chuckled.

"How about you? What do you want to be when you grow up?" he asked her. Amihan was silent at first, she realized that she hasn't thought about her future before.

"I don't know actually. I mean, school isn't really that much of a dream but I can't shrug off the feeling that the real world might be a lot worse" she answered.

Pierce just watched her. Sometimes he pities her, he has seen her cry about some kids at her school before.

She'd clutch her heart every time she did cry, it always caught Pierce's attention, and his heart breaks every time she does that. They've opened up to each other.

But Pierce thinks that there is something that he still doesn't know about Amihan. He just couldn't put his finger on it.

"Okay, well, what do you want, like right now?" he asked. Amihan looked at him and stared into his eyes.

"I just want to live my life. To be happy. And not worry about things and just watch the sunset and think that I'm okay with no heavy heart." she told him.

Pierce felt the same way.

He gave her a side hug and said "Well then, let's make a deal. A promise that we could never break." Amihan pulled back from the hug. "I'm listening.." he continued

"Promise that we'll be there for each other when we achieve our dreams. That you'll watch a sunset and say that you're okay with no heavy heart and I will do the same thing."

Amihan smiled. She thought that it was sweet of him to think of a promise like that. She was so lucky to have him. "Then it's a deal then," she told him then rested her back on the trunk of the tree. Pierce smiled.

"But you know what I want right now?" he asked her. Amihan got curious "What?" She wondered what more he wanted.

"Ice cream," he said then smiled. Amihan laughed then slapped his arm before standing up. She helped Pierce up before she could start talking. He exclaimed

"Race you to the store!" then ran. She laughed then shouted his name before running after him
