Sadie's POV:
My name is Sadie Baker, I'm fourteen years old, I have wavy brown hair with blue eyes, oh and I have lived in an orphanage since the age of nine. I've only ever been fostered twice, once when I was ten and the other when I was twelve and a half. I only stayed with the last foster people for about half a year and, let me tell you that was the worst six months of my life.
You're probably wondering what happened in order for me to be placed in this orphanage, right? Well, let me start from the beginning...
I had a, what I would call, perfect life. I had two loving parent and a bunch of close friends. My life was like this until the 23rd of January when I was nine years old. It was on that day I watched both of my parents die in a car crash, something an innocent nine year old girl should never have to see.
I was then moved to this orphanage, a few towns away from my home and friends. I stayed in this orphanage until I was fostered for the first time, however sent back here shortly after because the fosters basically neglected me the minute I walked through the door, basically they were only doing it for the money.
The second time, was the worst six months of my life. I was adopted by two men, Mark and Jack who used me as a way of venting their anger and frustration. They hit me, slapped me, kicked me - everything you could think of.
Eventually a neighbour found me then I was brought back to this orphanage, just like last time, except now I was more quiet and scared. That was 4 months ago and now, every man that comes near me I'm automatically scared of, all because of them.
I never wanted any of this, all I want is to be back with my mum and dad, going about our daily lives as usual. Why did this have to happen? To them? To me? Why does this happen to anyone?!
