Chapter Nine.
The beginning is a sort of recap but in a different POV.
Louis' POV;
We stood there in the radio station room in shock as we listened to the words pouring out of Sarah, the radio presenter's, mouth.
Sadie Baker was placed in an orphanage after witnessing the death of her parents at aged nine. From then on, she has been to many different foster homes where Sadie has been a victim of neglect and abuse?!
I was frozen as my brain processed this information. Neglect? Abuse? All to our poor Sadie. I think all of us boys were in shcok and forgot where we were for a few minutes after, in a daze. It wasn't until Sadie ran out of the room, slamming the door in the process, that we all snapped out of our state of shock and turned to Sarah who had a smirk pastered on her face. At the sight of this I grew even more angry. What gave her the right to annonce all of that?! I'm just thankful it wasn't a live interview.
"Well, that was interesting, shall we get back to the interview?" she smirked. That's when I lost it.
"How dare you do this to her? She's 14 years old. What gives you the right to say that, that's PERSONAL" I shouted at her before running out of the door and down the hall, the boy's following closely.
"Sadie?! Sadie where are you?" I called despreatley trying to find her. We turned a few more corners and ran down some corridors before we eventually found her curled in a corner. I sat down next to her and wrapped my arm around her as she rested her head against my chest.
The other boys sat down on the floor as well, and we sat in silence for a while before Sadie spoke up, "W-why did she s-say that?" she sobbed.
I thought for a second before sighing, "I honestly don't know Sadie. But I promise you it's going to be alright." I hugged her.
"C-could you maybe tell us what happened?" Niall asked.
It was quiet for a bit, "can we go home first please?" She replied.
We nodded, standing up immediatley and walking outside. We were greeted by a big crowd of fans, shouting and screaming, oblivious to what had just happened inside of the building.
Paul startled me as he opened the car door and climbed into the drivers seat, starting the car.
"How is she?" He motioned towards Sadie who was leaned against me, asleep.
"Upset, obviously. That radio presenter had no right to say them things." I replied.
Paul agreed as we settled back into the silence like before.
Once we had pulled up at our house, I picked up Sadie and took her upstairs, laying her on her bed. I kissed her forehead before leaving the room, letting her sleep. I figured we'd ask her to explain everything tomorrow, she's too tired and upset right now.
Sadies POV;
I woke up due to another nightmare and tried to suppress a scream. I rolled over and checked the time; 7:30. Deciding there was no hope of me getting back to sleep I went downstairs in the hopes of getting some food to fill me empty stomach. As I walked down the stairs, I noticed Niall sitting there, watching some programme on TV.
"Niall, what are you doing up? It's 7:30!" I asked him after he had noticed me.
"Couldn't sleep" he replied, patting the seat next to him. I sat down and cuddled up to his chest and started watching the CSI programme that was on. It felt like we had sat there for ages,I didn't mind though, it was comforting.
The sound of the boys running down the stairs was eventually heard as they all ran into the kitchen to make breakfast, Niall and I following after them.
We ate our breakfast and I then returned to the sofa I was sitting in, next to Nialler again as the other boys lounged across the the other seats.
They all looked at me and I took a deep breath, now was the time to tell them.
"You don't have to tell us everything hun, if you're not comfortable everything sharing it with us it's fine." Zayn reassured me. I shook my head, I might as well just tell them everything.
"Well, when I was nine, my parents were k-killed in a car accident, resulting in me being put in that orphanage. Then, when I was 10, I was fostered by this couple who seemed really nice. However, when we got home they just neglected me and ignored me. They basically fostered me so they could get the money and stuff.
I was sent back to the orphanage within about two months where I stayed until I was about twelve and a half. I was adopted by these two men, Mark and Jack. They..they were horrible! They'd always hit me, slap me, kick me, just hurt me whenever they felt like it, or if I did something wrong and stuff. This carried on for six months, It hurt so much, I was so scared but he told me if I told anyone then he'd make it worse. I.. I hate them!"
By the end of my 'speech' I was crying my eyes out and the boys all had a few tears streaming down their faces. I looked over at Louis who held his arms open, signalling for me to come over to him. I ran over to him and he engulfed me in a tight hug.
"I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that Sadie, but I promise you, you're safe now, with us. We would never hurt you and we'll never let anyone touch you. We love you Sadie" Harry spoke up.
"Sadie honey, you're so strong. Thankyou so much for telling us this. Remember, you can always talk to us about how you feel or what's on your mind, okay?" Louis said, looking me in the eye. I nodded.
"Okay, who votes we have a film day!" Liam said after we had sat there for a while.
"Yes! I'll get the popcorn!" Niall shouted, running to the kitchen.
We got out a selection of DVDs and a ton of blankets and all snuggled down on the sofa.
I trust these boys and I know that they'll never hurt me or let me come to harm. They're my family and, around them I know I'm safe.
