Adopted (A 1D Fanfic)

Chapter Three

Sadie's POV:

I climbed into the seven seater, where Harry and Liam were in the front, me and Louis in the middle, with one seat spare and then Niall and Zayn were in the back. I gave a slight smile before putting one earphone into my ear and resting my head and Louis' shoulder.

The car stopped suddenly, making a noise that didn't sound right for a car. Taking my earphones out, I heard Liam sigh before getting out along with Zayn to inspect the damage.  

'Well, we've broken down, I've called the AA and they said they'll be here within an hour' Zayn sighed again as he got back into the car. The other boys groaned in response before put my earphones back in, blocking out the sound of their voices.

It was getting dark, and I was extremely tired. I rested my head back onto Louis' shoulder before closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep...

'SADIE! GET DOWN HERE NOW!'  

I quickly ran down the stairs, knowing that the longer I took, the angrier he would become. Standing there in the kitchen stood Mark - the person who adopted me, looking angriers than I'd ever seen him.  

'YOU HAD ONE JOB. AND YOU COULDN'T EVEN DO THAT' He screamed in my face, pointing at the dirty plates scattered around the kitchen. I mentally groaned, I must've fell asleep and forgot about my chores. 'I-i-i'm sorry?' I stuttered, recieving a painful slap across the face. He kept hitting me no matter how many time I apoligized and cried.. 

Zayns POV-

As Louis, Liam and Harry went out to talk to the repair man about our broken down car, Niall and I stayed inside along with the sleeping Sadie. She was laying down, spread across two of the back seats, with her feet on my lap. Suddenly, she started thrashing her limbs around, before screaming. It was hard to understand what she was screaming, but I'm pretty sure it was 'No, please don't hurt me!' I watched her screaming out for help for a few seconds before I began trying to wake her up from this terrible nightmare. After a few moments, the screaming stopped as she woke, and sat up. Her eyes widened in dear and shock as she realised where she was and what just happened. Sadie looked at us both, her eyes flickering between us, before she started crying and attempting to get away from us. 

'It's okay, it was only a dream, you're fine now' I tried comforting her as the tears continued running down her face, fear still in her eyes.  

'P-please d-don't hurt m-me' she whispered so it was just about audible. Realisation dawned on both Harry and I's face, and he quickly jumped out the car, running over to Louis who was still with the breakdown company. As Harry explained what was happening, Louis' facial expressions changed from a bright, cheery smile to a look of worry. He ran over to the car and picked up Sadie, putting her in his lap. She sobbed into chest as he slowly rubbed his hand round in circles on her back, calming her down.

A/N: worlds shortest chapter&I haven't updated in aaaageeeees. I was going to make this chapter longer, however I'm extremely tired+have to attempt to get up at half six in the morning tomorrow&I really wanted a chapter up tonight :)
