Jennie paced nervously in your apartment as she waited for you to come home, remembering every moment she had spent in the home you two created. Tears were brimming in her eyes already as she waited for you, soon enough she was about to give up and leave when suddenly you unlocked the front door entering your apartment quite tiredly, but you immediately gained energy as you saw Jennie, a small smile mustered on your lips as you practically ran to her, giving a light kiss on her forehead before speaking,
"Hey baby, what are you doing here?"
Jennie wished and prayed that she could just say that she was there to visit, just to spend time with you like she used to but instead she sighed and ran a hand through her hair,
"I-I came because I have to tell you something."
You furrowed your eyebrows, concerned as to what was going on as you sat down on the couch, patting the seat beside you making Jennie sit as well,
"Of course Love, you know you can tell me anything." gently grasping her hand.
She bit her lip as the tears began to freely flow down her cheeks,
"I-I'm sorry Y/N, but we have to break up."
Your eyes widened and you instantly dropped Jennie's hand,
"pardon what? Why?"
At the sight of your shocked face Jennie let out another choked sob and wanted nothing more than to be in your arms but she knew that it was far too late for that,
"I-I don't want to! God knows I don't but .. YG is making me. Something about it being better for my career or something. I'm so sorry Y/N."
You let out a sigh and turned away from Jennie facing the fireplace where you, Jennie, Kai and Kuma would spent every winter since the past few years, but that was also prompting her to put a hand on your shoulder,
"Y/N? Please say something, anything."
You turned back facing her, chuckling sadly,
"I don't know what to say Jennie. I mean I'm not going to pretend that I'm okay with this, but your career is more important, you worked too hard to let this all go for me"
She nodded, "I think I better go, you're obviously upset. I'm sorry Y/N. I really am."
Jennie got up and walked out of your apartment, almost turning back when she heard the loud, heart wrenching bang as you were hitting the wall with all your might , but she didn't. She gathered herself and kept going, leaving you there for the first time since you'd started dating, to be all alone.
Watching her leave , hit a chord in your head that you didn't fathom having ever before, you knew losing her wasn't the move, you had already known you couldn't date the goddess of a women that Jennie was while living like a slum, you two had love but her career, her fans require fame and power from whoever decides to grace the fragile heart of Jennie Kim, they didn't need the bare minimum love for her, why would they, millions love her, along the millions there are much better people, richer, better off, famous you name it. Knowing all that how could you blame her company you didn't deserve her, that was just facts but you were ready to do whatever to completely change your life just so you could get her back, and today just marked the beginning.
