(Y/n pov)
Rosé had always been a gift giver, it was something that you found out as soon as you both began dating. It was sweet, of course, to randomly come home to adorably wrapped gifts lying on your bed with random notes filled with goofy messages. And it wasn't like Rosie was trying to substitute actual acts of affection with gifts and materialistic things ,to her giving gifts was just another way to remind you of how much she loved you. The only problem was how expensive those gifts always were. You sighed fondly when you opened your apartment door to find a small box on the kitchen counter.
"Babe?"
you called out, shutting the door softly behind you.
"is this for me?"
And as usual, she didn't answer. You reminded yourself that she was probably at practice, one of those few hours that you could never seem to get a hold on. You opened the little box slowly, and right inside the box was the watch, you've been wanting to buy since what felt like forever. You gently sighed, seeing the gorgeous watch in-front of you.
"What do you think?"
You smiled softly when you heard Rosie's voice behind you and turned to find her peeking through the door. As always, her hair was tied up in a ponytail, with her practice clothes still on.
"Is there an occasion today? even if so You didn't have to babe ."
"No occasion,"
she shrugged.
" I just knew how much you wanted it"
She took the box gently from your hands and pointed at the carving in the metal, explaining,
"It's my initials. So that whenever you wear it you'll know I love you."
Rosé never failed to make you smile most importantly she never failed to make your poor heart skip a beat, you hugged her waist and brought her as close as you could. Just to let her know how big of an effect she had on you.
"I love you too,"
you mumbled, ever so quietly.
" not just because you bought me this or the hundreds of other gifts."
"Oh, I know,"
your girlfriend laughed. She closed the box and placed it on the table again, placing her hands right where they belonged on your nape.
"So you like it, right?"
"I love it,"
you answered and pecked her lips.
"Now, what should I get you?"
"You shouldn't,"
Rosè protested instantly. When you frowned at the double standard, she burst out laughing and shook her head, sighing,
"It's just a little gift cause i know you liked it Y/N, you don't have to get me anything."
You shook your head and picked the watch again, turning it over and over in your hands.
"Okay. But you don't get to set a price limit on your next gift,"
you compromised.
"And I mean it, I'm going all out."
Grinning, Rosie kissed you and swayed slightly.
"I'm sure,"
she whispered. With the glow of her smile, you set your mind for a shopping trip with your best friend and Alice the next day; only the best for the best, after all.
