As Lettuce was hiking through the licorice bogs, she came across a lake. The lake looked like crystal clear water. "Thank goodness," Lettuce said to herself," A lake to wash up in!" However, when Lettuce went into the water, she realized that it was actually licorice flakes that looked like water to make quick sand. "Help!! Help me!! Someone, please help me!!!" Lettuce called. All of a sudden, a creature wrapped in ratty, old robes hobbled around a tree and calmly helped her. "Thank you so much!" She said.
"You're welcome." The stranger said in a raspy voice. " Are you the young food on a quest for that evil villain dude?"
"Yes, I am. How did you know?" Cupcake asked.
"The universe told me." it rasped. " I have the map for the quest, but I fear it will be doomed."
The stranger gave Lettuce an old, worn map. "Thank you!!" Lettuce called as she headed off into the sunset, which everyone called the candydayover.
