Cupcake and Lettuce: The Quest for Awesomeness

  As Lettuce opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a creature. It was stirring a pot. Lettuce felt a pounding in her head, so she reached up and felt something slimy, and it was beating, like her heart. "AAAAAAHHHHHH!!" She screamed. The creature whipped around at lightning speed and ran to her with a stick. 

"I'll save you!" It said with an alien-like accent. 

"Oh, no, that was me," Lettuce said." I was screaming because I think I just felt my brain."

"Oh, that," the creature replied. "that isn't your brain, silly. THIS is your brain." It held up an object. Lettuce screamed again. "I'll just have my brain back and I'll be off." Lettuce whimpered. 

"Not yet. I have to run some tests on your brain." the creature said.

"What is your name?" Lettuce asked. The creature let out a series of clicks and whistles that no one had any hopes of understanding.

"Now, this might hurt," the creature said. "your brain is still attached to you so it will still cause you pain. Especially because I pretty much put a piece of your brain in a replacement brain." 

           After the creature was asleep and Lettuce had gotten over the torture she had endured while her brain was being tested, she snuck to the room where her brain was stored and took it. She then ran away, into the night.
