As Lettuce was wandering in the forest, she came across a cave. "I wonder who this cave belongs to." Lettuce said to herself. Thunder rolled above. Lettuce had a split second to figure out what to do before the storm hit. She knocked on the door of the cave. "Hello, is anybody home?" She called. She waited, and a couple minutes later, someone came to the door.

"How can I help you?" A lemon drop asked.

"I need shelter for the night, can you help me?" Lettuce replied. The rain started pouring down on her.

"Of course, come on in." Said the nice lemon drop.

"Wow, thanks!!!" Lettuce exclaimed. She followed the little lemon drop into it's cozy little burrow. When she got in,  Lettuce started doubting her choice to come to this cave in the first place. The place was decorated like goth, and there were bones as the centerpiece. Suddenly, the lemon drop turned. Her once kindly eyes were now glowing red. "Now, to make you my new centerpiece." She said in a deep voice. She opened her mouth and out sprouted a pair of fangs like a vampire's. She tried to strike. Lettuce dodged her, and, remembering that Vampires, especially ones who were candy, hated candy pebbles. She dug in her bag and grabbed a handful. She sucked some and stuck them to her clothes, and threw some at the mean lemon drop. The vampire drew back, screeching, with smoldering patches of skin where the candy pebbles hit it. Lettuce sprinted out of the cave as fast as she could. She ran as far as a lake before a spell hit her and she collapsed onto the wet ground.
