Cupcake and Lettuce: The Quest for Awesomeness

The Ancient Map

          As Lettuce was roaming around in the historical library one day, she came across a giant book. "What is this?" She muttered to herself. She took the book out to study it, and a scroll of ancient paper fell out. Lettuce opened the scroll, and gasped at what she saw. It was a map!!! And it led to the legendary super villain, Lord Awesomeness', lair. Lettuce thought that if she found his lair, maybe she could free Cupcake. So, she took the map with her when she went home. At midnight, when she was sure that Cupcake was asleep, she practically threw everything she would need into a bag. 'Clothes, check; food, check; first-aid kit, check; water, check; various camping supplies, check.' As Lettuce went over the list in her head, Cupcake still slept. Or did she? Cupcake was asleep and the mysterious voice had somehow got free from her mind, but kept a little part of itself in her so that she was still imprisoned. "Well, well, well" someone said from the shadows just as Lettuce had zipped up her bag and was putting it on her back. " You," Lettuce stage whispered, fear in her voice, " I should've known. What did you do to my friend?"
