Mariette grabbed his arm before he took another step out of the trapdoor. "Adrien, before you leave, could I ask you something?" The blonde boy nodded his head and came back up sitting next to her. He noticed she didn't seem too nervous, just her serious self. Seeing her like that kind of reminded him of Ladybug.

"Of course."

"Who was the other girl?" She spoke right away. Adrien seemed taken back. He didn't know what she was going to ask him but he didn't think it would be that.

"Okay I know you're going to think this is stupid, but it was... Ladybug" Marinette gasped.

"Are you kidding me??!!" Marinette knew she should have guessed that her alter ego was the one that Adrien loved, but she wasn't thinking straight. Adrien saw her reaction and he started to freak.

"Okay, Marinette look, I was in love with her, but I love you more, I promise nothing is going on between Ladybug and I." Marinette kept that odd look on her face before she bust out laughing.

"Adrien, don't worry, I'm not upset, it's just," she paused wondering if this was the right decision. Oh, why not, she thought. She would have to tell him sooner or later, and she could tell he wouldn't last too long. "I am Ladybug."

Adrien tripped over absolutely nothing and fell onto his hands and knees. "Wait... What?!" Marinette let out another laugh and Adrien thought he could get used to hearing that sound, even if it was out of his own humiliation.

"And the other boy I told Cat Noir about was you. Well, Adrien." Adrien started to laugh too, and the two of them just sat there, having the time of their lives.

"Me?!" He pointed at himself and Marinette nodded, a soft smile on her face. A look that Adrien could never get used to, and he didn't want to. Each time he saw it, it always hit differently. "So we were right at each other's side this whole time." He spoke aloud to himself, Marinette hummed in acknowledgment.

"Yeah... Hey, do you remember the day we got assigned to our project?" Adrien nodded, "I had lost my diary that day, it had so much about our Akuma fights." Adrien was shocked, why would she write things like that when she knew what was at stake?

"Were you able to find it?" Adrien asked urgently because if she hadn't, he didn't care if his father was upset with him being late, he was going to help her find it.

"Yeah, Brigette had it." Adrien looked away in thought. Marinette was always the one to come up with plans or an explanation, but a little extra help never hurt anyone.

"Do you think she read something and figured out you're Ladybug?" Marinette shrugged.

"She said she only read a few parts, and skipped through others, but honestly, I don't know what to believe anymore." Adrien sighed, things may be getting more serious than they had thought to be at first.

"Where is the diary now?" Marinette pointed behind her towards the loft bed.

"It's in my pillowcase." She climbed up on the bed to grab it. Earlier in the year, the special case she made for it broke, and she had to settle with a hiding spot, (which was the reason she had lost it in the first place) but she didn't want to get rid of the diary all together, writing down what happened during the day or an Akuma was her only way of ranting.

"Great hiding spot." Adrien heard his kwami add. He quickly poked him on the head, telling him to be quiet. He suddenly whipped his head up at the sound of Marinette gasping.

"It's not here!" She screamed at him. Adrien's eyes blew wide.

"What?!"
