Since Ai didn't want to cut off the ties with her friends, she decided to visit them whenever she could. Yōsen was the closest to her, being roughly three and a half hours by train.

Consequently, she bonded with Murasakibara the most. When the Interhigh championship started, she contacted him to ask for his team's schedule. Whenever she could take the time off, she watched him and his team play against the other high schools in the Tōhoku region, and they won them all.

She made sure to go watch the final game in person and cheered him on. Afterward, Murasakibara and Himuro met up with her outside.

"Tsuki-chin, you came?" He strode over with his incredibly tall stature and usual laziness. However, it was paired with a little tiredness today as a result of the two games from earlier.

Himuro walked beside him and gave her a wave.

"Congratulations, and good game. I'll bet you're tired." Normally, she would give them a hug, but a small whiff of their perspiration told her that she should abstain. She handed them each a bag of goodies and refreshments.

"Yay, snacks. Thanks," he said, already opening a maiubō and a soda. He did need to replenish his energy, after all.

"Thank you, Ai-san. You know us so well." Himuro held onto his gift. She had a lot in common with him: their personal atmosphere, experience living in the US, and friendship with the purple-haired giant.

"They're just some things I picked up. It's no big deal." She tucked a long black strand of hair behind her ear and let it fall over her shoulder. She was effortlessly a cultural beauty.

"Let us treat you something next time," Himuro offered. "When the rest of the team isn't waiting for us," he added in English. He looked back to see if their senpai were angry at them for wandering off.

"Of course, I understand." She addressed them both. "You should get going, then."

"What? Tsuki-chin, you're going back already?" Murasakibara pouted.

"I already watched your match, one your team completely dominated by the way. You and I are both busy," she gently chastised.

He groaned. "Fine."

"We'll visit you in Miyagi too, so you're not the only one traveling the distance," Himuro promised.

"Thank you for the offer, but I doubt you'll have time off." She knew their coach worked them hard; it was one of the reasons why they were such a strong team and feared by other schools. She also guessed that she was a bit like her, personality-wise.

"Okay," Murasakibara concluded. He started to turn to go back but stopped. "Oh, and just so you know, I won't play against Aka-chin when it's our turn with Rakuzan."

Ai was startled. "No need for sympathy."

He shrugged. "Thanks for the snacks," he called back as he walked away.

Himuro gave her a fist bump and a hand wave before following his teammate.

Ai bowed to her upperclassman and stood there, seeing them off until they were out of sight.
