Chapter Four

Time Skip

"Do you have to leave me with all the work?" Lily asked and she walked James to the train. "Yes love I do, mum wants me home for the holidays, says there's something she has to tell me." James looked over his shoulder and at me. "She wanted y/n home to but you know how stubborn she is." James laughed. I playfully flipped him off with a sarcastic smile. "What about you Remus? Do you have to go?" Lily asked as she looked at me with a smile. "Ya, Mum and Dad what to see me before the end of school." Remus sighed. "Sirius? Peter?" Lily asked. "I'm going with James." Sirius said and wrapped his arms around James. "And I always go home for holidays." Peter said. Lily sighed and pulled me into a side hug. "Fine, y/n and I get a girls holiday." Lily smiled and kissed my cheek. "Hey!" James exclaimed. "Oh shush." I said and he laughed.

Lily gave James a kiss making my stomach turn and waved goodbye to the others before we set off on our journey back to the castle.

The next morning I woke before lily, the air was crisp and cold. Looking out the window I saw a thin layer of white cover the roofs and ground of the castle. I saw that the Black lake was was frozen and a thin layer of snow laid ontop of it. "Hey Y/n." Lily smiled. "Hey lils." smiled back. "I want some hot chocolet, you?" She asked and I nodded. "Then ill be back." She jumped out of bed and ran out of the room. I looked around the room and smiled. It was just lily and I, Nobody else was in the Gryffindor tower.

   Lily came back with the hot chocolate and sat on my bed. "I have fluffy socks, and filch just mopped. We could go slide around in the halls." Lily smiled. "Wouldn't that upset filch?" I asked and she shrugged, grabbing a pair of y/f/c fluffy socks and pink fluffy socks. "It's holidays." She smiled throwing me the pair of y/f/c socks. "How did you know my favorite color of socks?" I asked. She shook her head and me and started putting gin her socks. "Let's go." She smiled grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the portal hole.

   Before I could say Lumos she was sliding down the hall. I felt my eyes turn a slight pink and quickly joined her. She was going so fast she couldn't stop so she ran into a suit of armor. I almost fell on my ares laughing and she started to roll around on the floor laughing. "You pesky kids!" I heard filch yell. Quickly I slid to lily and grabbed her arm pulling her up. "And that's our cue to leave." I said an pulled her into a secret cubby so we could hid from Flich. The hole cubby was really small so lily and I had to be pushed together. I looked into her eyes and she smiled. I could have sworn for a moment I saw her eyes flick to my lips, but it probably was nothing.

We sat in the cubby for twenty minutes till we heard filch scoot away. Lily let out a breathy laugh and smiled as she pulled me to the common room.
As soon as we entered lily fell to the ground laughing. "It wasn't that funny." I laughed. "Yes it was, I'm lucky where friends!" She laughed. "Untouchable" "Umm Lily, can we go to the room?" I asked looking around the common room. "Ya of course." She smiled and we walked up to the room.

I sat on my bed and started to look at the picture. "Who is that?" Lily asked referring to the boy. "I'm not sure." I said, chewing on the end of a pen Remus had given me awhile back. "He's kinda cute." Lily laughed. I pushed her playfully and shook my head. "He's probably as old as your dad." I laughed. "He doesn't look that old in the picture." Lily shrugged. "This is from when my dad and mum where in there last year at hogwarts." I laughed and Lily's eyes widen. "Then he must be a first year." She said. "He's not that small though." My gears where turning. "I'm going to ask slughorn who he is." I said and ran out of the room.

"Professor, Do you know this boy?" I asked holding up the picture. "Well That is y/d/n Riddle and Tom Riddle." Slughorn said. "No, dads last name is y/l/n." I argued and slughorn smiled. "Took your mums name when he married. I for one thought you would be Slytherin, but I guess not." Slughorn laughed. "So this boy, is my uncle?" I asked and slughorn smiled. My head started to hurt and I fell back a bit. "I-i have to go, thanks professor." I said and ran off.

Having to many questions I ran to the black lake. "Hey." Came a ruff voice I didn't recognize. "Um, who are you?" I asked, jumping up and moving away from the water so he couldn't push me in. "I think you know who I am the man said with and evil grin. "He who must not be named." I said quietly. "precisely." He said. "But that's not what you should call me, after all I am your uncle." He said with a wicked grin. I stumbled back lightly and he smiled. "Y-Your Tom Riddle." I said and he nodded. "Why did you kill my parents!" I shouted, pulling my wand out.
  "I wouldn't of had to if they stayed on my side, you see your parents where in my main circle. Killed a lot of people them selves, unfortunately they Came to the wrong realization that I was on the wrong side of the war. Went into hiding. Poor basteard brother of mine." He said. "Y-How could you ever expect me to call you my uncle. You killed my parents!" I yelled. "Tatata, I did not, Bellatrix Lestrange did. Most noble of my followers yes." His vice wasn't sincere at all. "I-if you don't leave I'm going to get Dumbledore." I whispered.  "And here I thought I would have a lovely family reunion with my niece, but if you really want me to leave. Until me meet again. Y/n,Riddle." He said before walking away. I was stunned, I'm not a riddle.

I ran back to the castle, unable to speak. "Y/n, where have you been!?" Lily asked, running as fast as possible to me and tackling me into a hug. "I went to ask slughorn where you where an- your eyes." She stoped, placing her hand on my cheek and making me look into her eyes. "T-there not a color. There just white." Lily's eyes widen. "Your hands." I looked down and saw that they had turned white. "Your freezing." She said.

Lily grabbed my hands and pulled me to the dorm. "I'm not th-the-that cold." I shivered. Lily rolled her eyes at me and started to run a warm bath. "You don't need to do this." I laughed and lily rolled her eyes. "I do to stupid." She said. "I'll go get some hot soup, you get in that warm water." Lily said before leaving the room.
