A Year Of Confusion (Lily Evans x Reader)

Chapter Six

Lily woke up before me and instantly woke me up. She threw a warm jacket at me and some extra snow pants she had her mum send her before grabbing her wand and stuffing it into her pocket. "Do you have gloves?" I asked and she smiled. "Of course, do you?" She asked. "No, but I'm going to try something." I smiled.

Three years ago
"Mum I'm going outside." I smiled "ok, I'll be out in a moment." Mum called back. I ran outside and I made two snow balls, one of which I held up and the other laid on the ground. As mum walked out side I threw the snowball at her. I went to pick up the other one and saw the snowball was floating off the ground and my hands had gone white. Without touching the ball I moved my hands in a throwing motion and it flew at Mum. Hitting her right in the face. "Sorry Mum!" I called.

Present Time

I made extra snowballs and thought about hitting the wall I was standing in front of. Lily was somewhere making a snowman. My hands turned white and the snowballs lifted off the ground, a white cloud surrounding them. I moved my hand and they all hit the wall. My eyes widen and I looked down at my hands. Lily walked around the corner and her eyes widened. "Again y/n!" She exclaimed and ran at me. "No,no lily look." I said. There was a stray snowball on the ground and I lifted it the same way as before. Lily's eyes widen as I threw it at the wall without touching it. "this is what your parents had that you-know-who wanted. your not so magic magic." She said. "So your saying that im what he wants." I questioned and she nodded.

lily and i went back too the dorm and practiced my not magic magic. she had me start with small things like, candles, lotion. "This is so cool."
She laughed. "I mean kinda, but it also could put you and the others in danger if I am really what you-know-who wants." I sighed. Lily pleaded her hand on my back and started to rub up and down. "I'm sure it will be fine." She smiled sweetly. "Thanks lils." I said, however lily didnt actully feel that way. I could sense it.

    For the rest of the day lily and I hung out talked about the sun and the moon. Talking about anything we wanted or that came up.

Time Skip

Nothing much happened for the next few days, mostly just lily and I talking about random things.

"Lily, it's getting close to charismas, have you sent everyone's stuff out?" I Questioned and she nodded. "Have you?" She asked. "Of course." I smiled "then were all set." Lily jumped on my bed next to me and laid her head in my lap. "You know, I've been thinking about the hole, my uncle is evil, thing and I don't think you'll be like him." She said. "Ya." I sighed. "Ya, I mean, I now know what it's like to have you in my head and after I asked you to stop you haven't tried." She smiled. "Well ya." I laughed slightly. "Your eyes didn't turn pink for Remus did they?" She asked, my eyes widened and I tensed. "What do you mean?" I Questioned. "I mean either your lying to me about likening Remus, or you haven't been listening to me." Lily laughed. "What do you mean?" I asked and she shook her head, grabbing a mirror and holding it up for me to see my pink eyes. "Fucking eyes!" I laughed and she set it down. "Ok, I haven't been listening to you." I said, lily looked into my eyes and rolled hers. "They turned gold." She said. "Who is your crush?" She laughed. "Fine, it's you ok!" I blurted out. Her eyes widen and she sat up. I could see that she was shocked but I could sense something, and I didn't know what it was. "I-I don't know what to say." She stuttered our. "Don't say anything, I'm going down to the common room." I said and stood up. Lily was on her knees on my bed watching me walk out the door.

I sat on the couch and stared at the ceiling. "Stupid." I mumbled those "stupid charts." I mumbled. If James hadn't given then all charts they wouldn't know what my eyes meant and I wouldn't be having this problem.

Eventually I fell asleep, but not for long. I heard someone walk down the stairs. I didn't move my head and just tried to go back to sleep. Then I realised the only other person here was lily. "Y/n?" She said quietly I sat up slightly to let her know I was awake. "I don't what things to be wired between us ok, I just want to forget this happed, for now at lest." She sighed. "Of course, lily I'm really comfy and tired so I'll see you in the morning." I yawned, laying my head back down and going back to sleep.
