The rest of the Christmas break was just normal, we completely forgot that I told her I liked her, and had a good time. Lily and I where waiting Remus, James, Sirius, and Peter to come back so we could tackle them into hugs.
As soon as the boys walked in I tackled Remus into a hug. Lily slowly brought James into a hug. "You ok love?" He asked and has just smiled. "Ya, just perfect." She smiled. I new She was lying I just hoped it wasn't because of me.
"You told her!" Remus exclaimed. "I had to, James's stupid list let her know I was lying!" I groaned. "Ok so umm, you said in your letter you found something else out.?" He questioned, rubbing his temples. "You-Know-Who is my uncle." I said quickly and handed him the picture. "He's your uncle!" He exclaimed. "Yes Remus, shhh." I said and grabbed the picture from him.
Time Skip
It's been a few weeks since the boys have come back and we where all back in classes. Lily had been acting strangely around James, and when ever it was just us three together in the room it was super tense.
"Ok I'm done!" James exclaimed standing from his chair, it was jut me lily and him. "With what?" Lily asked.
"What is it with This tension between us." James exclaimed. "I like her." I said and James gave me a confused look. "Well she's your best friend so I ho- No James, She like likes me." Lily sighed. James looked from me to lily and back to me. "Well, do you like her back. Why are you being so weird?" James asked. "Because I don't know how I feel ok, I'm confused!" Lily exclaimed. "And she doesn't h- No I'd like to know, who do you chose lily, Y/n or Me." James said. "No, she didn't have to chose James." I hissed, pulling myself up from my laying position. "Well I'd like to know if she's going to leave me for you." He said, glaring at me. "You act like it's my fault." I said and he flung his arms up. "I mean it kinda is." He said. "I'm sorry that my heart chose lily, ok I never meant for it to. I even tried to deny it. But my heart chose lily." I said and James stared at me with wide eyes. "Your heart didn't chose Lily, you did." He hissed. "No james, but of course you wouldn't know what love feels like because you never felt it for lily. Love is the butterfly's in your stomach whenever oh see them." I said and looked to lily before looking back at James. He stood there with his mouth open. "I know you don't get butterflies when you think of lily, but you do get butterflies when you think of Regulus Black." I said. James stared at me and then looked back at lily. He shook his head quickly. "What will it be lily." He asked. Lily looked between me and James and sighed. "You don't have to answer that lils." I sighed. "No, I want to. James, I'm sorry. But I chose y/n." She smiled. James eyes went wide and he sighed. "Then that's that. Lily, you are no longer my lily flower. And also your right I Totally right I like Regulus!" He laughed and ran away. I rolled my eyes at him and lily sat next to me. "He's always got a flare for the dramatics doesn't he?" She asked. "Yep." I laughed.
Lily snuggled into my side a big smile on her face. "Sorry if I made that awkward." She said. "Not at all, it was awkward to begin with." I laughed. "But you really do love me as you stated before?" Lily asked with a playful smirk. "I suppose I do." I laughed and she smiled evilly. "Oh no I take that back." I exclaimed. "Nope no backses, I'm Yours now." She said gripping onto my side. "Is that so?" I asked, razing an eyebrow. "Don't make it weird." She laughed. "It was wired to begin with." I said and she just laughed at me.
Time Skip To The End Of The Year
Third Person POV
Lily and Y/n ran to the black lake, laughing Profusely as the boys chased them. Lily and y/n where sharing a nice kiss when the boys walked in. They all gagged and over reacted. Quickly y/n had used her power to lift the boys and the girls ran away laughing. Which brought them to this moment.
"That was stupid!" Lily laughed, trying to catch her breath. "That was funny as hell and you know it!" Y/n laughed. While Lily's back was turned to her she pulled out a velvet box that she was borrowing from Mrs Potter. She looked back at the boys and they slowly started to walk over, carful to make no noise. The sun had just started to go down and was reflecting of the black lake. Y/n got down on one knee and waited.
"You know if the black lake wasn't so bea- Oh My Merlin!" She exclaimed. The boys had copied y/n and where also down on their knees holding nothing. "That beautiful." Lily said grabbing the ring. "Lily J Evans, will you marry me?" Y/n asked. Lily looked into y/n's bright pink eyes and smiled. "Of course I will marry you." She said and pulled y/n into a kiss. The boys all rolled their eyes at the lovely sight in front of them making them all laugh.
Later that night, that last night at hogwarts lily and y/n cuddled on the common room. "This year has been confusing." Lily sighed. "Your telling me." Y/n laughed. Lily held up her hand and examined her new ring. "Look, it May have been a confusing year, but at least I got the love of my love." Y/n said as she stared down at lily, who had the biggest smile she's had in a long time.
